I was fine with my flu jab too, sore arm and really warm but apart from that was ok. Keep an eye on it Mimi, if you feel really unwell, go back to docs in the morning.
Massive sainsburys order came tonight, I've put away stuff that needs fridge or freezer but apart from that my worktops are covered in stuff, cannot be bothered putting it away. I think I'm gonna get into bed and snuggle up with my kindle

Been to midwife - she said i have ketones (?) in my urine - baby brain made me tell OH i had ketamine in my system lol oops! Shes measured my stomach again - so far we have gone: Top growth line, middle growth line, bottom growth line and now . . . bak on top?! Midwife says to wait until my scan next week and "hopefully" it will return back to the middle line. I give in lol
Oh Mimi, i'm sorry you are feeling poorly from the jab! I feel bad now, as i think i was talking to you about getting mine!
I think you said you have been feeling and being a bit sick these last few days? If so, then that could explain the ketones in your wee.. I wouldt worry too much about the wiggly growth line, from what i've heard, babies often have growth spurts, so zooming up, and levelling off is quite normal!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I did read not to use strong perfumes etc, for the reason you say. I did read though, that the massage oils are most helpful in early/mid stages so i figure that being that they are mainly going to be used down at the bottom of my back and my family doesnt have a history of short labour, they will have worn off well before beanie actually arrives!
Agree on Arnica BTW, it is great stuff! I have the pillules and an arnica cream, and in the past, have had a liquid form too!!
Thats what I was thinking too - but very happy with the cheap stuff from boots too ! I was going to take some bio oil with me if I have any left. BTW I bought some of the sanctuary mum to be stretch mark oil - smells nice enough and is better value than bio oil BUT when rubbed in it just does not dry,,,,,takes forever and I end up having to use a towel to dry it up so I can put clothes on....really not worth the money. And I love the sanctuary stuff so quite dissapointed!:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

yeah i got told off about eating . . . MW thinks im being sick because im not eating properly. Today:
Breakfast: 2 Weetabix and milk
Lunch: 2 cheese toasties
Dinner: Bowl of Chicken Casserole (Chicken, Leek, onion, carrots, celery)
Snack: Chocolate, packet of quavers, apple bits covered in custard and a Nature Valley Chewy Bar
I dont think thats bad!
(In fairness, i would never have normally ate the snacks but have stayed up later than normal and MW's moanings are in my head . . . )
Am off to wash my hair - work tomorrow - 8 days left over 4 weeks.
Roll on 1st Dec - my last day!0 -

I know if you're signed off for a pregnancy-related illness within the 4 weeks before your EDD your ML must start automatically. Not sure about non-preggo illness though...goes against all my ethics to get signed off willy-nilly but she's been such a cow I don't see why I should help her out by holding the fort. But even if I wasn't preggers, I reckon I may have ended up at the docs with stress anyway.
I have 27 days leave still to take from this year before 1st April (been hoarding!), i've arranged to take it immediately before returning to work- so taking 5 months M/L and 1 month leave, instead of my original plan of 6 months M/L. Means i get some proper money back in a bit sooner. Direct.gov do say your employer should consider allowing this, which can be a good compromise all round- but they dont have allow it to be carried into the new year.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Me too, no noticeable side effects at all. The iron supplements on the other hand give me a dodgy tummy for a week every time I try them, bleurgh!
Got my Angelcare monitor today, really quick work by Amazon! Only had time for a quick look, but it seems good.
We've been doing some concreting today, then suddenly realised it was Halloween and the front door wasn't accessible, so had to lock the gates shut to keep little children off.
I've also been doing an inventory of my baby stuff, don't think I'm quite as disorganised as I thought, got quite a lot of little stuff which all adds up.
Lol, wrote that about ten mins ago and the internet dropped out when I hit post, the first bit was about flu jabs0 -

Sounds like plenty to me! And besides, sickness in 3rd Tri is supposed to be quite common, esp for ladies who had it in early PG too, so a bit harsh blaming it on eating habits i think!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Which iron supplements are you taking? My M/w told me to steer clear of the tablet forms as they tend to make you feel sick and give you digestive probs. She advised me to take Spatone, which is in liquid form so is more easily digested, and if you mix it with OJ, tastes ok! I was really sick from the iron in the supplements i took early on, but i've been fine with the spatone.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

i havent had my flu jab although I know my midwife will whinge about it when I go and see her on wednesday, I'm really looking forward to my MW appointment, one because OH can come with me and two because I want to know if baby's head engaged and if I'm still showing as being big.
cloudberry can you link me the arnica you usually get? By the way where is the cheapest place to buy essential oils, some of them are nearly a tenner in boots!!!!!!
ah just checked holland and barrett and they're essential oils seem to be cheaper and they;ve got their buy one thing get another for a penny but I don't know if it is on everything, will have to go into the city to check, was going to go tomorrow but will wait until OH is home I think.
Just got into bed but even sitting is hurting my ribs grrrr0 -
I got the 30c Arnica tabs - you just click the lid twice and that pops 2 into the lid then pop them in your mouth without touching them. Have between meals - or dont eat anything 15 mins either side of having them as this makes them less effective when had with food.
I got mine from boots - http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Arnica-30c-84-Pillules_845540/
And the unscented oil I linked earlier incase you missed it - I dont have any essential oil stuff.

Lavender is a stimulant for labour and should not be used during most of pregnancy but can be had near the end as its safer then - so may be worth trying if you want to bring on your labour?:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy
