And Steph. I have eczema, and the only thing what stops me itching is DreamCream from Lush. It's about £9 a pot but works wonders for me.
Maybe ask them for a sample pot to see if it works for you... X
  • Steph, the only thing that stops mine itching is to put more cream on. I use the Cocoa Butter, it hasn't prevented them but it does help with the itching. I carry a small pot in my bag as well so I can apply it though the day.

I woke up at 2am and can't get back to sleep as I'm totally stressed about my job and possible redundancy :( I can't get my mind to switch off :(

WW sorry to hear about your extra stress!

I used cocoa butter initially but I really didn't like the smell or lard feeling, so I changed to Shea butter creams. That seems to reduce my itching unless I miss a couple of days. I cannot say its doing anything for my stretch marks ( I had already) but my tummy feels nice. I also use it for my nipples and face when they feel dry.

    Morning All :D

    Welcome Lucy !!:)

Great minds think alike kira & 4nnabella!!!! re Spatone - just thought would mention I am taking it too but one sachet a day so I have a little bit of iron as I am not a big red meat eater etc (hence I know my intake from my diet is not good), I mix it with half a glass of apple juice (sachet first then juice on top), I hate the evil  iron tabs (had them in the past) so am just taking this in the hope might help keep my levels up a bit. As the spatone is literally iron rich water it has a strong taste hence why you mix it and also vit c in juice helps you absorb it. If when they next check my iron levels if I need to top up hope that I can take this but more of it fingers crossed.

  • Morning ladies.

Blooming eck it's early! JJ even complaining about being woken up an hour before getting up time.

Aww, that sleepsuit is gorgeous, but OH thinks we have enough already. Just need to order another bra and that's me!

Got a chap at the door last night about 9, thought "!!!!!!, trick or treaters", then a voice came "it's your neighbour downstairs". Turns out the drain outside has blocked again and we actually have human faeces on our path. She's called the council last night and is gonna call again this morning (she's a council tenant, we're not, so she'll have more luck than we do). Hope the nice Asda man doesn't step in it!

I've also figured out that grocery shopping online is a bad idea...for some reason I ordered 6 cartons of fruit juice (we only have an under-counter fridge), a kilo of bananas and god only knows what else. OH is gonna moan, but it's his fault for being more interested in the XBox and going "order what you want, darling".

    morning all,

i just read about five pages and had a big long post thought out and now..its gone, cant think what i was going to say at all.

my side really hurts this morning im not sure if i have laid funny or what i have done but its sore.

i need to go to blackburn today so i can go to argos and halfords, we have 2 argoses here but they dont have the matresses i need so i have to go all the way there, its such a shame that burger king is next door. honest i didnt plan it that way but hey ho might aswel make the most of it, same with mothercare, blockbusters and boots being there too.

DH seems to have finally accepted, yes we are having another baby. he was sat next to me watching doc martin last night and asked me to check my notes to see when my next scan is, he then told me all about how he can do night feeds so i can get some sleep (its a ploy so i dont moan at him for playing the computer all night) i reminded him nicley that unless he lactates that wont really be possible. so now he is on about buying a breast pump or combined feeding so he can join in. i wonder if he will want to join in with nappies lol.

good luck to ladies in labour and being induced.
  • Cloudberry I suffer with an inflamed sacroiliac joint and the phisio is useless with it. I found going to the osteopath helped much more as they do more back manipulation to put the joint back in place/reduce the swelling. The only thing the phisio was good for was a maternity belt which when applied correctly put pressure on the sacroiliac joint to reduce the pain.

The pain is worse with my sacroiliac joint than with SPD and if you have had problems with your sacroiliac joint then you are more prone to future problems with it :( I find alternating a cold then hot compress on the joint works for pain releif as does buying a good back support as proper pressure in the lumbar region of your back helps to take away some of the pain.

a very sleepy good morning from me, I must have woken up every hour to turn over and had the strangest dreams! Not to mention the getting up for a wee! Feel a little bit sicky this morning hoping that'll go!

    Welcome Lucy, happy V day.

Got lots to do today as OH is coming home, although right now I don't feel like doing very much and am laying on the sofa with my blankie.

My stomach is also really sore, not solid feeling like normal just achy, not sure what that is.
  • That sounds like a plan...although OH has the duvet and God knows when he'll be up, as he was determined to watch some kind of Ghost Hunting show online overnight and I have no idea when he got to bed...
