Oh Elmo reminds me of my OH's dad, obsessed with Manchester United, I really don't want my child in sports stuff at all, and he keeps "joking" well I hope he is about all the stuff he's going to buy!The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I'm so picky when it comes to clothes, I'm such a "babies should be dressed like babies" person. I hate when babies are dressed like mini me's of mum and dad. I know half the things people buy me will horrify me  Thankfully loads of people are knitting things and I like thoseThe frontier is never somewhere else. I'm not fussy over baby clothes- though I have bought a little babygro thing which says 'My Dad and I rock out to Rush' as that's DH's favourite band.....
I already have a lot of clothing, and it's a real mix of girls, boys and neutral- why should blue be for a boy only? And pink will hopefully never be used, I can't stand it. If I get bought stuff though I'll make sure baby is wearing the gift when that person calls around.... It's polite.0 -
I would put outfits on if people came to visit, I just don't like babies in dark colours
I think all outfits from when I was little are all white, lemon, cream, pink. My mum said the first time she ever put a red dress on me I was 2 and a half and she cried, because I wasn't a "baby" anymore
Everything we've bought so far is neutral, but I want more colour! I've hardly seen any yellow or anything in the shops, maybe because it's coming up to winter.

Hiya, hope everyone is surviving the pregnancy aches and pains. Haven't read back as we had to take the wee man into hospital for 24 hours. He lost too much weight and would onlybe properly awake twice in 24 hours, and only take 2 really good feeds. Never seen such a sleepy baby. Thankfully the hospital checked him out and though he is a bit jaundiced it was merely a case of vicious circle - not feeding well made him too tired to feed well. He also had a tongue tie, like DD, which is now cut. It stopped him latching on well. He went from 8lb 2, to 7 lb 4 in 3 days:eek:
Now home again and using a breast pump as well as feeding him myself. Used a bit of formula but would rather he had my milk. Have bought the eye waveringly expensive medala swing breast pump (£95) and can thoroughly recommend it. As formula seems about £9 a box, it might actually pay for itself.
Also gave the wee man a name: Daniel James :beer:First Baby born January 2007
