Good Morning, I am in a crap mood this morning. Barely slept thanks to the upstairs neighbours running around all night until 5 o clock, drilling things (christ knows what) and opening and slamming the front door until 5am  To top it all it's my Birthday tomorrow and I don't think theres anything planned at all, my OH has decided to go out on the lash tonight so will probably be hungover the whole day :(

Feeling so sorry for myself today :o

There speaks a very sensible woman!! We have friends who most definitely have a 'Princess' and she rules the roost! Nothing should be done that will upset her. She even does things like kick off if she doesn't get a pink cup when we go out for a picnic or something. Her dad calls her baby all the time which is ridiculous when she is now 5 and a half. She has tantrums like a toddler and has those parents wrapped around her little finger. Drives me and DH mad!!!!

This. Definitely won't happen. DH says it's part of having a girl- but it isn't! I always climbed trees, played rugby and helped fix cars when I was a kid. I dislike pink and the whole Princess thing.
I don't mind a girl liking pink- each to their own. But no way on earth will I allow any child of mine to act like a spoilt brat.....
DSD took a slight phase like that when she was younger- refusing to drink unless it was her special cup, demanding dessert and throwing a tantrum if it wasn't the one she'd wanted etc.... I think it lasted all of two-three days. :rotfl:

Ah Gilly, if he's really not up to celebrating and you think you'll have nothing planned, give me a shout and I'll come and take you out for a coffee!
  • For those of you first-timers planning to breastfeed - are you getting bottles/sterilisers too? If so, which ones and how many?

I got one of the Avent microwave ones when they were half price at £10, plus I've got 6 large Avent bottles and 2 small ones. Got an Avent pump too so made sense for it all to be the same. Not a first timer and got on well bfing before, but expecting to express now and again to have a stock in the freezer to be able to continue for a bit longer after I finish physically feeding. I'm also going to have a mini stock of Aptimil cartons just in case bfing doesn't take off this time, and I'll obv be using formula after I stop feeding.

congrats to all the new mummies getting mummy cuddles.
Massive labour vibes to all those in need of them.
    Hello to all the newbies.
I went for my 37+ week check up, and I can have my bump at the midwife unit if i go into labour myself, relief all round.
They dont routinly offer sweeps until 41 weeks here but going to see my mw and ask if she will do one earlier, as would really like to go to the unit rather than the hospital which is further away.
Also went through my list of stuff to sort and baby wise i think i have everything apart from a hairbrush set & sterliser, pushchair is now ordered should be here the end of the week.
    So panic over.
Just now need to get the rooms finished & sorted back to where every1 should be and then we will be all set.
Hoping to be sorted after the weekend and ready for a new carpet to go down in our bedroom.

Lirin Thanks, I know I'm probably being stupid and tomorrow we'l end up doing something amazing, but the past few years we've done such good things and now I kinda feel like Oh I'm pregnant, I don't matter kind of thing, I don't know how to explain it :o

Blue Monkey We bought the Tommee Tippee Complete Starter Kit from Mothercare, it was reduced from £120 to £60 and we had a £5 off voucher. I've also bought some Medela bottles to go with the breast bump.

Kandboys Bless you, thanks, it's not til tomorrow but how nice :o

Bella Aw no :( I hope you get some joy at the Docs, I know what it's like, hopefully won't be long for you now anyway!

On another completely unrelated note, just watched new Two and a Half Men and my God, Ashton Kutcher is YUMMY!!

  • We've got the painters in today hahahahaha oooooh that made me laugh :D:D:D

OH is useless at painting always does half a job - walls get done but never ceilings - so got a friend of the family in to sort all the ceilings and is also painting our room and touching up OH's shoddy work and it will be all done by the end of the week - YAY! Think im goign to go sit up my mums later on though its getting a bit fume filled in here and its freezing with all the windows open and patio doors open!

My brother has just text me to see if there is anything we still need for baby - i've said no as we have gone a bit overboard so hes said hes going to get her a Sunderland football strip - bless him, i havent got the heart to tell him not no bother. He and his fiance are getting married at the stadium next year, serious football fans their house is all red and white - even their sofa is red and white leather!

Just picked up an Avent bottle warmer for £3.00 on Ebay wooooooooooo bargain of the week. I must stop spending!!!!
