Here's an off topic freaky occurance for you all!

DH visited a clients office today - he's been going for a few weeks now about 40 miles from where we live. On one of the external airconditioning units outside the office, he spotted something & went to take a look. It turned out to be one of our 'personalised' chocolates from our wedding day last June - with our names & wedding date on it. He said it was weathered & worn & was stuck to the unit.

How the hell did it get there? No-one at that office attended our wedding as DH wasn't working there then, and he didn't carry it in accidently on a previous occasion as he's had a new laptop case etc since last year.

    Bizarre or what?

    C xx
  • I kept up bf for as long as I possibly could but it got harder and harder when I had to resume normal life rather then living in the babymoon, can we go to the park, no baby wants feeding wasnt boding well with the little one and you cant rush a feed up when school time is aproaching, timing shopping between feeds was ok but feeding in a cafe with 2 terrorists to keep quiet and a baby that took 45mins to feed just wasn't working. Expressing worked brilliantly for a few weeks but my supply dwindled.

I think I managed to keep it going longer by getting in those pre-made bottles for the penultimate bed time feed when i hit the no sleep for a week wall. I think i would have given it all up and switched then if i didnt have that little break and extra hour of sleep.

First baby was hard but it was just us 2, second baby was ok as we had a few months before #1 started school but #3 its was so hard to fit in bf every 2 hours/run a house/do school run/settle WW4 every few hours and find time to sleep and possibly eat occasionally.

  • I think the whole feeding thing has got to be down to choice, I'm sure most women would love to be able to breastfeed, luckily it was no problem for me, but a happy baby and mum has got to be more important.

Just been watching that Extreme Kids Parties programme on Discovery Realtime, I find it really sad that mums have to spend $30,000+ to make their kids think they are special. I am definitely going to actively avoid anything 'Princess' related when she pops out; I think it's important she realises she isn't a 'Princess' and is just a normal girl who can't get everything she wants. Maybe a bit extreme, but I think the whole 'Little Princess' thing is just setting girls up for a life of being spoilt and thinking they are something they are not.

  • Morning All

Only 3 more days until my c-section, really thought something was starting last night, loads of pains across my tummy, but nope, absolutely nothing again

Managed to make both legs ache a lot from all my running up and down the stairs, and by 8pm couldn't walk at all so stayed upstairs all night!

Just starting to plan for c section, including what to do with DD as i go in Friday and wont be out until Sunday afternoon. I dont want her to feel left out so will try and get her over to the hospital most days and will see if my sister and MIL will arrange some fun things to do for her.

Out for lunch today with my best friend and my sister and then tomorrow my sister is going to come up to the house and give it a really good clean for me, bless her.

Have a good day all and keep those labour vibes coming pretty please xx

There speaks a very sensible woman!! We have friends who most definitely have a 'Princess' and she rules the roost! Nothing should be done that will upset her. She even does things like kick off if she doesn't get a pink cup when we go out for a picnic or something. Her dad calls her baby all the time which is ridiculous when she is now 5 and a half. She has tantrums like a toddler and has those parents wrapped around her little finger. Drives me and DH mad!!!!

  • morning all, i am off to do some painting today, i am having a debate with myself over wether to keep the kids off school since its half eight now and i am still in going to be sick mode. I need to look at schools over at the new place anyway so it might be better to just keep them off.

3 days to go until the wedding and i still need to find a place for the dog to go for the weekend.
