  • its a fate worse than death at the moment in our house, wasting food..i cant stop eating the stuff seriously.
  • Was anyone aware of the new advice re making up bottle feeds? My midwife friend has said you're now only meant to make bottles and use them straight away, rather than make a batch in the morning and keep in the fridge for example. Apparently it's something to do with restricting bacteria growth after a couple of cases of poorly babies.

I'm not planning to introduce formula for the first few months but can imagine it being a big faff having to not have any bottles ready to use.

I think its just another one of their ways to promote breast is best, I'll be making up bottles in advance for during the night - why would bottle warmers still be sold if they were not suitable?

They changed the guidelines between me having my 2 boys. What i did with DS2 was put the boiled water in the bottles with one less ounce in them, put those in the fridge then when I wanted the feed I would put the remaining ounce of boiling water in it to make it hot. If that makes sense!

My neighbours are quite noisy sometimes. Their kids are older so have left and I think they forget to keep it down. They kept me awake Saturday night watching TV in their bedroom - I took great pleasure on Sunday morning turning up the TV at 6.30am when we got up to watch the rugby!

Ooooh wierd feeling!! Up until today, beanie has always been posterior, i.e face facing my tummy, so i get feet kicking one side of my tummy, and hands poking the other side and cant really feel much of substance if i feel my tummy. Today the feeling is completely different! I've hardly felt any poky movements, more kind of a rummagy feeling inside. Just had a feel of my tum, and its all smooth and hard and rounded under the surface! I guess Beanie has decided to try the anterior position for a change! Feels really funny!

I think she is still transverse though, from the pressure feeling across my tummy, and that i'm not getting much of a feeling down near my foof- its all centred in a band along my tummy button and acrosswards .
