Morning girls
Lovely name Alison - how worrying for you too about the weight loss - at least he's fine and dandy now.
Kira - hope all is well with your mum today
Went for my 40+3 midwife appointment this morning and she gave me a sweep. She said she couldn't have done a better sweep and that I'm 1cm dilated already - hoping that this means it's anytime now..... If not, have another appointment for another sweep a week today and then induction booked for 30th September. Really hoping I don't get there.
Have random tightenings now and again - am secretly hoping they are painless contractions and I'm going to be one of those women who gets to 5cm or so pain-free................ highly unlikely I know but I have nothing else to do at the moment other than daydream.........
Labour vibes to the boldies and those who want them
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -

Thinking of you and your mum Kira. I've had some mild period type pains overnight and this morning, nothing too strong and I'm only 39 weeks today so not expecting anything to come of it, but it would be nice if it did! Glad your sweep went well debski, I've got another mw appointment for a BP check on Friday when I'll be 39+3 and I'm wondering if they'll do one then, or wait until my 40+3 appointment. Oh god I'd better get the lady garden sorted sooner rather than later, I've got toenails to paint as well. That ought to be a laugh!0

Kira - thinking of you and your mum xxx
Alison - glad baby doing well, my DS lost loads of weight when he was first born nearly 1lb which is one of the reasons i wont be BF this time, he'll be straight on the bottlexx
The doc gave me some supositries (sp?) and movicol she said if this doesnt work she will arrange for a nurse to come see me and give me an enema, so either way i'm gonna get sorted, feel bit better just knowing i'm doing something to help. I'm still in pain but just led on settee trying not to think about it to much (which is mighty difficult!)
oooo ddebski hope things are starting for you, sending you labour vibesxx

Our beanie does, but only to certain types of music. It appears that she rather likes pop/opera fusion music, I.e Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe, or the funky diva music from the fifth element. I did get a thorough kicking as well, when i played her our wedding dance song, L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Sounds promising Debs!! Fingers crossed it gets things moving for youDoes anyone elses baby go abit nuts when you have music playing? Or is it just me?
Erm yes. But only when I'm listening to The Prodigy. Firestarter is a definite favorite.
I have visions of this child being born with a mohawk a la Keith Flint.0 -
How amusing, they apparently all have different tastes at this stage
I love L O V E, reminds me of the start of Meet the Parents. It's a lovely song
Winnie, not sure what it says about yours, may be abit of a rebel come teenage years haha. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

It is a fab song. We learnt to foxtrot to it for our wedding dance. OMG, it was sooo fast and complicated, esp the bit the teacher stuck in at the climax which was a quickstep!!
Sorry about this girls, am feeling all tearful today and the wedding thoughts have got me sentimental about the wedding as well, so to cheer myself up, i'm going to very gratuitously lob in a wedding pic. Totally non baby related i know! Apols for the self indulgence.
