Ooh not sure then. Was just told that by my friend who had my goddaughter - she's the last one I know who had an elective. But policies change I guess. Will find out at my pre-op on WedsThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Sounds like you have small babies anyway Mimi. My midwife and sonographer told me that scans can be out by as much as 1kg each way which is virtually 2lb! That's hell of a difference isn't it! What is the plan of action?
When I was pregnant with DD I had a tumour which had an effect on her weight - she was fine until towards end and they booked me in to remove her but she came just before - they said ages ago my medication might effect baby (hence all check ups, am up at hospital every 3 weeks and midwife in between) - this is second time they've mentioned weight, first time the blamed midwife error, said she must have measured wrong. OH keeps moaning at me because I'm watching my weight - he want to know if they said what was causing it, I think he thinks I've caused it :-(0 -
yeah i think she did, didnt she break one in the hospital?0

Wonder if I can get OH to do mine when I'm contracting...
He just text me asking if I was in labour yet. Yes, dear, I'm in labour on my way to the hospital, I just didn't think of telling you....
Have decided the house looks tidy enough for me to sit on my arris for the rest of the evening with my hot choc and my mega pizza that I'm never gonna finish."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I've had pelvis pain off and on since about 12 weeks, my midwife told me it was too early for that, but then she also said it was too early to get heartburn too, and that started at the same time! Luckily it comes and goes and doesn't seem to be as bad as some on here. Friday I did a lot of walking as my other half was on a course and I was trying to get lots of pics, so chasing him up and down all day.
On saturday I was having trouble walking, by the end of the day I couldn't take big steps or go fast, just shuffle along.
Sleeping, I'm still waking up a lot, it is worse when I'm with the other half, as watching someone else sleep is infuriating when you can't!Either I have to wee, or have heartburn, or restless legs, or painful hip/knee.
I went to Mamas and Papas on saturday with my gift vouchers, they wouldn't let me use both on one item (shame) so I got my crib mattress (£12 with voucher) and a blanket reduced to £10, with a £5 voucher off that. Collected some lovely knitted stuff from the other half's mum
and when I got home, someone had given my mum two bags of baby clothes for me. Mostly vests, but there's tons, I don't think I need any of those till 6 months now!
We still need lots of stuff, but I think the absolute essentials are now covered (bed and clothes!). So at least if they come early, they won't be sleeping in a drawer.I've only got two blankets and a sleeping bag so far though. I did leave a nice blanket knitting pattern with other half's mum tho.
