Jen that is great news!! :j
(((Hugs))) Mimi, I can imagine you have been left feeling very worried nowMimi_Arc_en_ciel wrote: »How do you know what "week" they are measuring (notes have a lot of abbriv am looking at chart) they expected her to be 4lb 8oz today but its showing she's gone to 3lb 8oz. Have 9 weeks to go. From last scan which was 3 week ago she's put on 6oz. DD weighed 6lb 5oz when born. Bumps not very big - well not as big compared to DD - but they said theres a lot of fluid around her
Edit: by "week" I mean I've seen people say they are measuring XX week at XX
When the midwife uses the tape measure to measure your bump she will say you are 30cm or whatever, your cms should match the number of weeks pg you are, give or take 3 cms, so at 30 weeks you could measure between 27 and 33cms without them being concerned.
How many weeks pg are you as I had my scan last week at 32+4 and baby was approx 4lb 3ozs which they said was within the right weight range. I can't remember if you are due before or after me, but I thought it was after so 3lb 8ozs would sound fine, but then I am not a medical professional. These figures are only estimates at the end of the day though.
Just checked and according to the list you are 31 weeks today? So you are a week and half behind when I had my scan and your baby is about 3/4lb lighter. According to my sonographer at this stage baby is putting on about 1/2 lb a week at this stage, so by 32 1/2 weeks your baby should weigh roughly the same as mine was estimated to. I don't know if that helps, probably not as nothing is going to put your mind at rest until you have another scan.Mimi_Arc_en_ciel wrote: »OH keeps moaning at me because I'm watching my weight - he want to know if they said what was causing it, I think he thinks I've caused it :-(
As long as you are eating sensibly then baby will take what it needs before your body gets whatever is left over.Think I remember Pigpen saying the nail varnish thing was outdated as they used other methods to determine skin hue and circulation now?
Health professionals still use your finger and toe nails to determine whether your body is getting enough oxygen as it is your extremities which will show the first sign of lack of oxygen by turning blue-ish. Some hospitals will allow you to have either toe nails or finger nails painted, some won't allow any. I would check before you fork out cash on a mani and pedi.0 -
Have nice tinted eyelashes now! Not a patch on a slap of mascara but still better than au natural! I've cut all my finger nails down. It sounds lovely having a manicure and long nails for giving birth but I always worry about the practicalities of dressing baby without scratching him!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

Been looking around my house and thinking if the baby came early step mum would come over and oh would come home, and realised that the house is no where near tidy enough to have visitors or for OH to see the mess, so need to get tidying me thinks!!! Not tonight though, im having a bath! x
good news on the builder jenjade.
mimi are you feeling a bit better about everythig now?0 -
Well. I won't be sleeping tonight as I have my GTT in the morning, and I am not looking forward to it. I'm such a wimp when it comes to needles, and tomorrow is 2 needles so I'm nervous
OH took me to Frankie and Bennys earlier though. 3 courses tonight, so don't think I'll be hungry for a few days after that.
What are you allowed to drink during the "fasting" period? Dying for a cuppa tonight.
Labour vibes on their way to the boldies.. Xxx0 -

Forgot to add earlier, my other half felt a 'proper' movement from the baby this weekend, think it shocked him a bit.
He'd felt little ones before, but this was a full on wallop, he hadn't realised they do it that hard.
He also bought something for the baby. He'd bought a pack of nappies I sent him for with a huggies coupon (not the cheap starter pack I requested though!), and got some free stuff from a friend (that I've now seen and am not sure about!) but I think this is the first thing he's chosen on his own. A pair of wellies of all things, but it is the intention that's important!
