Janninew - have a look on the nct website - there's links then to your local area so you can see what is on near you and when. There's likely to be something not too far away.

Not got dogs (love dogs too but with so many cats it wouldn't be fair on any dog that had to live with them - plus we don't really have the space and they would spend too long alone), but it doesn't make a difference with the cats - there are some people who can't seem to understand that my furry family is going nowhere just because we now have a baby on the way. Supervision is it really, making sure baby isn't on its own with the cats/dogs and the furbabes have some place they can get away and have some peace and quiet!

I remember babysitting for one of my friends when her daughter (now 10 - eek!) was about 3 months, and her cat just went and hid under the table when the baby started crying. I looked at him and decided he had the right idea and I wished I could fit under there too, not have to go investigate the screams!

My MIL was very  when my mum got dylan and I was pregnant but pointed out that I wanted him too and that whilst pregnant at least he would have a chance to grow up a bit and be a distraction to my pregnancy and he certainly has been that :D. As I know that am having a boy it seems quite sweet that they will grow up together cue gooey visions of Dylan playing ball in the garden with toddler :o and mummy ohhh I am hopelessly over optimistic :rotfl:

I've finally had a sucessful attempt to join the Pampers site for the free pack.

    What a job that was!!!

I called up Pampers and was told by a rather stroppy lady that the website had an issue with Internet Explorer 9 and that I should use an alternative internet software thingie. She went to on say that the IT engineers knew about it and hoped to have a fix in a few weeks.

WEEKS??!!!??? Good Grief, it's pretty poor IMO to advertise on TV and then find that the majority of people won't be able to sign up for it.

I finally got there with an old laptop that was running Internet Explorer 7. Perhaps if you have Firefox or an old version of IE you'll be OK.

Thought I'd let you know :)

PS - I'm just signing up for anything free, I'm thinking about washables anyway :rotfl:

lirin, your soup looks delish!!! yum yum, im out for dinner tonight but would very much rather stay in and make soup.

EDIT: OMG did I just say that?! HOw old am I, I'm going out for dinner for the first time in ages instead of sitting in on my own in my jarmies watching tv and all i can think about is how much I would rather stay in!!! God I really need to get a life!!
  • Lirin that is so cool that you have made my soup!! Oh dear I want soup now!

Off soon for a 2 hour trip to get to Cardiff as we won 2 free tickets to see Alan Carr - should be good but almost cant be bothered with the trip there and back when all I want to do is sit on the sofa and eat :)

Ohh and Lirin I still have the vouchers to send to you, I was going to get some more packs from Asda next week so was holding off on sending them so that I can send them all together - or at least thats the plan!

Missy, pmsl.... I've had similar thoughts.... How nice it is to stay in!

Anyone worried about comments if they are pet owners- I've told my family (all dog owners and parents themselves, !!!!!! my Dad raised gundogs!) that any more comments about how I will cope will lead to a child being allowed to run ferally and nappyless with all the local wildlife, not just dogs. Seems to work, though obviously I'd never do it!
