  • Hi all - have tried posting a couple of times since yesterday and lost my posts (my fault for pressing "back") all times, so have given up trying to comment back on people's posts.......

I'm feeling well lardy. My legs have got massive and have LOADS of cellulite :( Not good. We completely move into our flat this week, so I'm looking forward to establishing more of a routine, so I'm hoping I'll feel encouraged to go swimming and walking lots. Also, does anyone have any recommendations for pregnancy fitness DVDs? I'm getting a bit more uncomfortable now, and don't want to get in shape for vanity, more because I know it will help the labour and the last few weeks.

Can't believe I'm nearly 33 weeks. Scary stuff.

    Hope you're all well anyway!

Urgh, have hit the afternoon wall :( Staring at Excel spreadsheets all day really is very boring! May need to go hunter-gather some chocolate...

    Hello All

    Still thinking of Kitten_pie :(

Interesting reading your soup recipes as I will have to be a bit MSE this week after buying all our xmas pressies early so they will come in handy.

Kandboys - sorry you are feeling so uncomfortable x

Starting to feel its more *effort* getting up out of chair and bed  think mousey is getting heavier and what with being very heavy anyway not a good combo am 27+2 and wondering when you ladies felt heavier getting up or is it just me?!

Dont bother reading the following unless your bored :rotfl:

Got hubby at home after today for a weeks a/leave, we are (the royal we that is!!) are going to move furniture around in our bedroom and downstairs to be baby prepared but without any specific furniture as not having crib etc in house before born etc or any 'nursery' furniture.

Was thinking in bedroom to move our bed so hubby has a narrow path to his side of bed and leave and open area my side for some drawers (changing mat can go on top), the wooden crib, a chair suitable for nursing, floor lamp, blanket box for extra storage and seating. We have cream carpet so thinking will need a rug?!!!!! The radiator is on hubbys side as we understood that we need to not have crib near it. Hubby has suggested moving some of his clothes into the babies future bedroom so that he can slip out in the morning without disturbing baby also if it all gets a bit much he can decamp to the other room as there is a d/bed in there but obviously with ear plugs..!

Downstairs the dining room and sitting room have double doors between. Still undecided on how to manage the pup who will be 9 months old by my due date. Thinking that perhaps we should use dining area as designated baby changing/sleeping zone as could have a gate beween sitting room/dining room so that can see baby in crib, we also have a play pen which can be extra doggy security for crib. Thinking we should move a set of drawers downstairs for storage maybe? pup would be relegated (!) to the sitting room which he already is now anyway as we keep him out of the dining room.

So do you think the above sounds reasonable having 2 baby areas our bedroom and the dining room and having clothes/cleaning stuff in each. Any tips gratefully received !!!!!!

Also trying to think other than cleaning absolutely everywhere, what things should we be doing to make the most of his time off to prepare.

If you got to the end of my post you get a (virtual) hob nob :rotfl:

    Thanks

    Ro xx

Just had a text from mum at the hospital, and the results of the liver scan and lymph node biopsy are all clear, which means the big C hasnt spread anywhere else! Such a relief. Never thought i would see it as good news that it now she can "just" have the mastectomy and recon, and the type of recon she wants, but it means no radio or chemo which is great. Just waiting to hear from her next appointment today when they should give her a date for the op. Sooner the better really, if i am to have any chance of being able to help when she gets out of hospital before i get super huge/bean arrives.

Woohoooo, virtual hobnob for me! :D

It all sounds perfectly sensible. If pup is used to not being allowed in the dining room already then makes sense to use it as a baby zone if you can. And if there's room in your bedroom for the extra furniture then why not :) I definitely think there's an argument for having baby stuff upstairs and down where possible, saves you running up and down the stairs every time you need to change a nappy.

With regards to the feeling heavier, I'm definitely finding it more of an effort to get off the sofa, but am not struggling too much yet.

Not sure what else you could do apart from clean. I'd maybe try and get some relaxing stuff in the week too, won't be long before you won't have much in the way of time for just the two of you sp try to take advantage of that too! Enjoy your week :D

I don't post often, but just wanted to say I'm very chuffed with myself, just got a moses basket from freecycle, with washable mattress, fitted sheets- alomst brand new as the woman's baby was huge and couldn't use it for long :D Just looked it up online and its worth about £70, did spend £19.99 buying a wooden rocking base :o could have just put in on a table or a cupboard!

OH doesn't believe in freecycle he just thinks its people getting rid of rubbish, but after seeing the basket think I might have converted him!!

After work I'm picking up a travel system also from freecycle :p I'm aiming to get as much as I can for free, hopefully that is in a good condition as well, if not my parents have offered to buy us one.
    Got married 13/11/10 :)

Wow that's fab Lola! Well done :D Moses baskets are so expensive, I don't get why they're £70! I think your £20 base is justified though!

We've just done the secret santa name picking at work, and, second year in a row, I've picked out my own name! Last year I did the right thing and put it back and picked out another name, but am not making the same mistake again this year! This way, I can treat myself to something nice, only £5 spending limit though so am thinking big slab of chocolate or a couple of nice bath bombs from Lush...
