Also - (sorry lot of info going on here) Whats everyone doing about baby monitors - when i had DD1 i just brought a "normal" bog standard one (which picked up next doors signals and we could hear their convos lol) OH wants to buy one of those angelcare system doo dar things - im not impressed - what are you lot buying?

We've got an angelcare one but only because a friend of mine was selling it on after using it for her little boy. We haven't even tried it out yet!

If we hadn't of got that one, I would have liked the BT 250 one, or whatever the latest version of that is, I think they're supposed to be good. I would have got it off eBay though.

I'm going for the Angelcare too. Other half thinks I'm paranoid, but I still remember how often I was stood next to lanky teen as a baby, waiting for an audible breath just to be sure! Especially if I'm going to be here alone a lot, hopefully it'll help me sleep better.

Angelcare system with sound and breathing monitor is around £90, they were £70 on Amazon for a bit, and I didn't buy it in time! There's a cheaper one that is breathing only, a more expensive one with two parent units I think, and a super deluxe one with video which costs a fortune.

:rotfl: with great difficulty mimi, i have to sort of sit on the edge of the bath and lean either side and then just sort of guess the rest as cant see a thing, not the most comfortable of things!! :rotfl:

We've been given just a normal monitor, but am now wondering about the angelcare systems, so if anyone does have advice that'd be great, how much are they?

i like the nightie mimi but I cant wear anything long, i get so hot and bothered.

LOL arent you worried about erm . . cutting yourself lol

dont want to turn up at hospital looking like edward scissor hands has been down there!

The one thing i dont like about the angelcare is if you lift the baby and forget to silence the alarm then it WILL go off (and possibly give everyone a fright!) plus you might forget to switch it back on so may end up being useless!

I can see why people want them - but i fear that it will only add to anxiety instead of calm it

I have to wear a hearing aid (and very rarely do!) so my main priority is one that "flashes" when baby cries - not fussed about seeing baby etc (sounds awful doesnt it lol)

I am umming about baby monitors. I had one with dd1 but hardly used it. I am in a small house so i recon i will hear her? I dunno it feels like a must have but i dont think it is. I really dont want one that senses movement etc as that would make me so paranoid! i might get a cheap simple on off ebay nearer the time

We bought a Tommee Tippee Ultimate monitor, the one with a sensor mat, when they were heavily reduced at Tesco.

Having a lazy day today, been to pick DD up. Now we're both in PJ's with a mug of hot chocolate and going to watch Legend of the Guardians :)

hope everything is going well Mancbird..xxx

lol mimi, I can just about see enough to not cut myself:rotfl:, I cant imagine it is particularly neat though, takes soo much longer than normal too, its a real pain, i suppose you could get it waxed but, I dont think id like it being this pregnant. I couldnt bring myself to ask OH to do it when hes back either, some things are just for me to know about lol.

I'm lucky I guess - my DH has been regularly maintaining down there while I've been pregnant lol! I want him to do it again before my c-section so there is no need for the midwife to come at me with the Bic razor like last time - ouch!!!
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!
