Delain - it's weird how there's lot of girls born in September but October seems to be a boy month if you look how many are due!!

Lirin - it was more a case of the 27th being 4 days before the 31st so I get this baby out and my pelvis can stop being agony! Take some paracetomol and see how you get on. You have my sympathy - it's blinking horrible!

I've not been to an NCT sale yet but have been looking into them. As others have said, car boot sales are also a good place to look.

I'm going to an NCT sale tomorrow and the week after. I haven't bought anything for the baby yet, so I'm hoping to get some bargains.

Morning all!! Sounds like we're about to get another wave of babies being born in the next few days.....yaaay!!

Can't believe I'm due next Friday. I keep thinking that I'm ready and I have the essentials but then walk round the house which we started decorating and haven't got finished and keep thinking we aren't prepared at all. Not that the bubba will see the missing skirting board, scuffed hall wall etc

Welcome eebee and good luck to those who by the sounds of things are in labour. Definitely time for some of you to meet your babies!

Had my first good nights sleep in nearly a week last night, managed just getting up every 2 hours for a wee but falling straight back to sleep. I'm really not looking forward to being even bigger and having my bladder trampled on.

Last night DH saw my bump moving for the first time . Still getting used to that but it is nice to know she's wriggling. Unfortunately DH also found a small crop of stretch marks. Bless him, he was worried that they hurt and I was in pain!

I've been told to go to NCT sales by several people. Good source of bits and bobs and when you're done with things you can send them along to the next one. We've got a sale near us next Saturday so am planning to head down.

I can see why now, and thanks. I've only ever had twinges compared to this- it's awful.... Think I'll just sit here and see if it eases through the day. (Hopefully will, my car is parked a long way away...). _pale_

I've heard of the NCT sales, but don't think they're in NI? I've bought most bits off Ebay and Gumtree, or had them via Freecycle anyway..... My sister gave us a Moses basket, and girls clothing- so now no matter what gender Hitchhiker is, I've both boy and girl in the drawers.....

I've managed not to get any stretch marks yet, but I'll know they'll be appearing soon. I'm using a mixture of aveeno moisturising cream and pure argan oil (I'm half moroccan, so I get my argan oil when I go over to Morocco to visit family as it's a lot cheaper there) over my bust, belly and hips everyday after a shower. I don't think moisturising prevents stretch marks, but it makes my skin feel nice and soft.

I like to think stretch marks in pregnancy are really called "lovely baby lines"!!

I'm using Derma Mum Oil, was recommended to me by loads of people who didn't get stretch marks! So I'm slathering it on, morning, noon and night, I'm a greasy mess all the time but no stretch marks yet
