I've got absolutely loads of stretch marks which I didn't know where there until recently and they are all on the bottom half of my bump. The ones that have appeared on the past week or so have been really itchy.
My mom has loads of marks so I was expecting that I'd get them too.0 -
I'm 10th after the boldies !!! It's really weird knowing when my baby is going to be born! 20 days and counting.
After 3 babies I'm not bothered in the slightest about stretch marks. I've been lived in 3 times is how I see it!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Gilly mine didn't appear until quite late on, but DD1 did the damage and I was 17 and clueless so didn't use any creams at all.
Kandboys there is a lot of boys coming up isn't there
I'm glad they saw sense about your section, I'd have jumped at the chance of a halloween birthday though, imagine all the cool birthday parties lol this baby would be quite prem at 33 weeks ish by then though so I guess there will be no halloween birthdays in this family.
All mine usually have their birthdays in the holidays though, two in the Summer Holiday and two (usually) in the Easter holiday, and most likely this one at Christmas, and that was all completely accidental lol.
I nearly cremated the cat yesterday  I put the dryer on (only went about 5 spins) and switched it off because there was a 'bump' which sounded like everything had rolled up in a ball. Later on I go to check if my top was in there and a very damp kitten jumped out :eek: Good job I'd noticed it sounded funny and switched it off, I felt really shaken _pale_ Kitten seemed none the worse for it... and this morning it hopped in the washing machine as I was loading it so obviously hasn't learnt it's lesson lol.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I'm going to the library today at lunch time to have a look at pregnancy/baby books. I already have the babycenter app on my iphone that gives me a weekly update on the development, I know all mums, births and babies are different but do any of you recommend any good books for night time reading?0

I went to an NCT sale last Saturday... And left empty handed. There were tons of toys and clothes (pink and blue!) and given that we don't really need toys yet and we don't know what we're having, I didn't find it all that great. Saying that, there were some great buggy bargains... I almost got a bouncy chair and a moses basket but decided I'm only going to have my first baby once and we're not that skint, so would like to buy new.0

Yep, Jodi Picoult, Lisa Gardner, Jilly Cooper, James Patterson, Jane Green, Kathy Reichs, Jackie Collins........... :rotfl:!! Hee hee! With DS1 I had the Miriam Stoppard book and DH threatened to throw it out the window cos I kept saying 'Miriam says.....' :rotfl:!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Delain - I'll have 3 with birthdays in the holidays I think. 2 in August and one late October which I think will always be half term. Halloween would have been cool but 1) I wanted it asap and 2) I could just see jokes about calling it Damien, Lucien etc etc!!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

I've had a couple of books given to me- I confess I've found them all quite boring, and have resorted to Stephen King and James Herbert. Makes my dreams a little more inventive, but probably isn't teaching me all that much about babies.....0

I'm really over using my kindle at the moment, I love reading and know my time for it after baby is here will be severely limited. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
