  • Hey everyone :)
I'm 33 weeks pregnant, due 25th february with a little girl and although I browse this website I don't post much in here. Awake tonight/this morning with awful heartburn/indigestion and no amount of gaviscon etc has helped so currently watching my friends boxset wrapped up on the sofa! Hope you're all ok and bumps are cooking well!

    Morning ladies.

Jannine, lovely to hear from you and so pleased that Poppy is doing so well.
Thanks for the review of the gro-egg, I was already thinking of getting one and you've convinced me I should!

Annoying news about the NCT classes I booked. I paid in installments and last week was the last one so earlier this week I got an email confirming I'd paid and giving me the details of the classes.....but they were the wrong ones!! So I emailed them and said that they'd got me on the wrong course and sent them the meail I got when i initially booked with the correct details on......no reply! So yesterday i rang them, turns out they decided to change the date, time and location after I'd booked but didn't bother to check if anyone was already booked onto the course! So now its on dates that we can't go as DH will be at work as he works shifts (was 2 days at weekends). So they're going to send me a cheque for the refund and we'll just have to make do with the NHS ones. I'm sure it'll be fine but I wanted DH to get something a bti more in depth as he's never even held a baby and is a bit of a panicker so I thought it best to get him well prepared!

I watched last week's OBEM last night, couldn't get my head around watching it last week with everything that was going on with baby's head! I watched the last series and occasionally had a small tear in my eye but last night I had a proper cry!! I think it makes it come home to you that you're actually getting a real live baby at the end of this. but also scared me a bit at the thought of how I'll feel if things get a bit panicky like that girl with the huge baby that didn't breathe for a start!! Not sure how DH will cope with it all either. After him fainting at the hosp the other week I now have my mum on standby to come to if we need her......I think we might!!!

I took them for about 6 weeks but wasn't convinced I was feeling any different as was making me really sick. Take them with orange juice as helps the body absorb it easier. Told midwife I'd stopped taking them and apparently a lot of people struggle with them and she advised spatone instead. Hope you get on with them.

I haven't take one this morning yet - just as I was having my breakfast (cereal, with milk), I decided to read the leaflet. It said not to take medication with tea, milk or eggs - so, basically, I can't really take it with my breakfast! Decided to leave it for a couple of hours and will take later. Then - also, you cannot take take it with anti-acids, etc (like Gaviscon, Rennie, etc), so I am going to have a fun life!!!!! You shouldn't take the iron two hours before or after these... At the moment, every meal gives me heartburn. Well, it is not too bad, but instead of suffering, I was taking Rennie. Now will have to stick it out! I really need more energy, as it is getting ridiculous - I only got up an hour and a half ago, and I am ready for a nap already!

Because you were curious... I watched it as well - I don't really want the c-section, but I guess I will not avoid it.

Dashikii, I am also expecting twins, and I have to say, that I am growing fast, even if it is just in my own eyes! Every morning I wake, turn on my back and my bump seems to be higher. I also expect that one babiy was hiding sort of behind the other as well this morning, as one side of my bump felt higher than the other! (I am 18w+4). Do you know what 'flavour; you are having yet? Or did you decide not to find out now and wait for a surprise?

    Re OBEM
My DH is most like the fashion victim, annoyingly soppy, I'm probably going to be most like the one in the red nighty. I do think they should have gotton the drugs into her sooner seeing as she was so scared. I think they should say more which drugs they had had. I'm guessing on pethadine for the 3rd lady going by the canular. I'm hoping for drug induced serenity...

Babies are designed not to breath for a bit, while coming out, but it is so stressful to see it!

I really want a shower, but I know I cannot get in and out of the bath to have one, I will be waiting in my towel when DH gets into night as I forgot completely last night.

Mozzy - 1 week :) I'm jealous, I'm not liking the not knowing when it is going to happen, generally I don't like surprises. So not knowing the babies sex is driving me bonkers and not knowing when it will come out is unnerving.

Re cot mattresses - do they just have them in stock at M&P or do you have to order them? We are putting the cot up this weekend.

Thanks - I stalked people on this thread before I was 24 weeks, now most of them have had there babies, and I will be 37 weeks on Saturday, it seems so surreal getting closer to the top of the list. It has been so reassuring for me reading everyone's post and giving me hope that things could work out, I wish I could tell you all how greatful I am to you all!

Hugs and labour vibes to those that need them!

Morning all. Hello to sillylittlejill, you should hang about and post more :) we're a lovely bunch really :p

R.e The Gro Egg, I don't want to put people off, but we bought one and it is cute and all, but I don't think it's worth the full price, not even sure it's worth the £15 that Asda are selling it for, it's tiny, about 4 inches high, we got it off Amazon when it was £6 or £7 and I'm really glad we didn't pay any more. If you could get a digital thermometer for a cheap price that you could glance at, I'd be more inclined to go with that, although I'm not sure how cheap you can get them. Not undermining you Jannine, as I realise you have more cause than anyone to have one :p I was just a bit disappointed with ours.

Currently waiting on my replacement phone arriving, should be here before 1 so at least I won't be waiting about all day on it.

I had a wee lay on my back for 5 minutes this morning, it was bliss, roll on 3 weeks so I can do it for longer.

R.e the cot mattresses I'm really not sure, was a picture of her from the Saturdays buying a whole cot at M&P in a magazine recently so if that was anything to go by I'd say yes, but if they don't they are fast at organising delivery, and I'm in N.I where on the whole delivery is crap. We went in Friday and had the delivery on the Wednesday? If that would suit? :)
