Been in tears all afternoon. Son sent me a text from college saying he wants to make a dr appointment tomorrow as he has had a painful testicle for a couple of days. Of course I'm glad he told me but my bloody hormones are making me think the worst. He's not back yet so I don't know if he wants me to go to dr with him or he wants his dad to go. I have a midwife check up tomorrow anyway,so will see what he wants to do:(

Aw Gilly, maths is such a difficult thing it's hard to prepare for, my brother is doing a science degree and finds the same thing, it can be down to luck with the questions on the day, I'm more of an arty type where many possible answers count...

Oops, it seems some people at my work still don't know I'm pregnant at 25 weeks, was berated for keeping quiet about it as I left the office tonight! It's no great secret but I'm not a 'news telling' kind of person, prefer to let things filter out as I don't like a fuss!

Hope this is OK to cross post/signpost, I have posted a question in pets about introducing our dog to LO, would be grateful if any of you have any advice!

Just saw your post Lucy, it's great he told you, try not to worry, DH had the same thing about ten years ago in his teens I know we can't offer medical advice so hope this is taken as me trying to be reassuring and not advising as I'm unsure of forum rules, but I always remember the dr saying it's common at that age and actually anything sinister is usually painless

Thank you. Spoke with my hubby and completely forgot that he had an op when he was 7 for a twisted tube,so it could be that.don't know if this sort of thing is hereditary. He has offered to go to dr with son tomorrow if he wants, but still not back from girlfriends.

Hi ladies. Been trying to catch up for days but it just gets longer and longer so I've given up and skipped to the end.

Gilly I hope your OH feels better later. I can see it's a lot for him to handle, maybe he'd be better defering the last year and retaking it next year, or doing the final year part time?

Try not to worry Lucy, he could have just pulled it playing sport or my brother once managed to pull a muscle at the top of his groin climbing over a low wall and apparently the whole male area was throbbing and painful for weeks. I'm sure the doctor will be able to work it out.

Just popping in to say goodluck Kira.
Sorry things are a bit tough at the moment Gilly, hope your OH will feel better about his exams soon enough.

Thanks for the advice on the buggies/pushchairs, I definitely think I need an advisor.

I'm looking to stock up on a few nappies and bits this weekend as per jenjade's recommendation and i'm quite excited about it.

We might have found a house! I'm hoping its all sorted by the end of the month then the real shopping can begin.

By the way, has anyone heard from lovecrafting? I know she is my bump buddy but haven't seen her online for a bit. I really hope everything is ok with her baby.

I will try and take a wee pic of my bump and upload it, it's grown again!

Thanks for everyones kind wishes, things seem to be a bit better now, we've had our tea and he's through in the bedroom studying for his exam Friday and he seems a bit more positive, still very quiet but I'm trying not to push him. :)

Thanks everyone. He seems fine, says its like a dull ache, doesn't care if he sees a male or female dr and taking his gf with him tomorrow so keeping things crossed its something of nothing.
