R.e the perineal massage, since tidying myself up a bit down there, I will start tonight
Laura I don't think you're supposed to start doing it until about 34 weeks btw, not 100% on that but I think that's what we got told at ante natal.
Just had an awesome nap, made some burgers with my mince yesterday so will have them for T tonight with lots of crunchy salad, and then I plan on bouncing on my ball all night. Even though I feel like I could just go back to sleep again, it's seriously worrying how much I'm sleeping these days, worry that I'll be getting used to sleeping more and then baby will come and it will be hell
Thinking of sending OH to Mr T after his exam to get more Comfort with the vouchers Emmylou sent me, I think he deserves itThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I was going to have a nap this afternoon too, hasn't happened though. I started checking my hospital bag instead as I got a list from the hospital the other week, and have realised that there's some bits I haven't got yet. Have just found a maternity dressing gown/nightdress on eBay that I'm bidding on, only it's still got 2 days left, plus then the time it'll take to arrive, so it might be too late! Hope not...
The main bits we have left to get now is the snacks and stuff, which we're going to get this weekend. Someone (Gilly?) mentioned cartons of Ribena the other day which is a good idea. I really need to write a list... What snacks and stuff are other ladies taking? I'm thinking flapjacks, cereal bars, haribo... I was also thinking of stuff like sausage rolls, but won't really be able to get those until things are happening as they are more perishable I guess. Good job Tesco down the road is a 24hr one, so providing I don't go into labour on a Sunday afternoon, OH can always shoot off down there no matter what time of day or night to get anything like that...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Yeah I got Ribena, 10 cartons for £2 from Mr S
and 2 750ml bottles of Evian. Hopefully that'l see me through the worst of it, I'll be weeing for Ireland :rotfl:
I don't even have a dressing gown, don't even think I'll be taking one now, they're all so big and fluffy and the only thin cotton types I could find were snow white, decided against that ideaOH can always bring me one if needs be. I really need to get nursing bras, but I'm trying to leave it as late as possible to buy them.

Would it do any harm starting it early or do they just say it should work that fast that you dont need to bother till that late?
Had a result on the ball front, Posted on my local mums and mums to be facebook page and been offered one for £3Can I start using it now or are you supposed to wait? Also, do you just sit and bounce or is there anything else I should be doing on on/with it?

I wasn't going to bother with a dressing gown, I have two fleecy ones but they won't fit in my bag so wanted a thin one. This one on eBay is navy so thought I'd go for it and just hope, if I do win it, it arrives in time. I think it's the navy Mothercare one I was looking at the other week, but didn't buy in the end.
I only got my nursing bras last week too. Went to M&S and got measured (first time since getting pregnant, ooops!) and got two for £30. Plus I've got three maternity sleeping bras, like sports bras with the drop-down cups so don't think I'll bother getting any more. I have put one of the M&S bras and one sleeping bra in my bag.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
This is the third time I have tried to type a message and accidentally wiped it !!! I just can't use the bleeding phone properly.
Afternoon all
Kira it's nice to hear your updates keeping fingers crossed things progress soon
Dylan is on borrowed time he has eaten my iPhone case completely shredded it luckily there is not one single teethmark in the iPhone otherwise dylan would be no more:mad: I think this was revenge for lying in bed too long this morning and I couldn't get up as was so tired. He is currently eyeing up the DVDs for destruction. Yesterday he tried to lick my cup which had leftover hot chocolate in it as you know hot chocolate is poisonous to dogs as I said he's on borrowed time. He's just knocked off the digi photo frame he had been taken over by the devil......
Lots of labour vibes to the desperate boldies !!
Ooh fgs he's spinning himself on the office chair:eek: he needs to be walked at least 50!! Miles tonite by mother so he sleeps tomorrow !!
Had loads I wanted to comment on but my brain is fried. Spent 3 hours at lunchtime even delaying my own lunch for a ocado delivery which is due tomorrow not today!!!
On the plus side got a few sale things from bonmarche (yes I know not for the youngsters but am 32 so feel old now!!) but got hubby to do it as new customer so got another 20% off one of the dresses is for a wedding in the summer got a matching shrug and it's lovely and an absolute bargain!! ( for £68 delivered got dress, matching shrug, two skirts, a top and a coat )
Lisa - glad MRI went well!
Gilly- sorry you had a crap start with oh to today but glad bubs is not as big as thought. Also Argos have small slow cooker value range reduced to £5.99 was in MSE email and think it will be useful when bubs here.
Redhead - try not to worry its all cos we are getting on now in pregnancy terms and they are being careful. Headaches, visual disturbances, swelling and keep an eye on movement was what Gp mentioned.
Hormones got the better if me last week, slammed my bedroom door so loud (never do things like that!) but was stressed as hubby wanted to stay in spare room and it's no fun being on your own waiting for labour to kick off!! He got the hint but is still moaning about my pregnancy snoring! Which I can't believe I do much considering how many times I get up in the night!!
Tc all and huge for those who are struggling or going mental like me today !!

I think you can start using the ball now. I either sit and bounce, or rock my hips either side to side to back and forward. I also kneel on a pillow and hug the ball...
