    Morning all !!
  • Oh Lisa - it does sound like a bad day! Lets hope it gets better.

I am so excited for Kira,

And Congrats aimless - can't wait to hear more!

Gilly - hope you didn't think my "nothing more useful to say" was meant in a bad way yesterday - it's just having a very stressy husband sometimes I know what they are like when it is the end of the world and my only way of him calming down is to leave him alone until he pulls his head out of his back side. It must be horrible for your OH knowing he has put so much work in, but I am a big believer in these things happen for a reason, and often that reason works out better for you in the end!

OBEM last night was actually quite good - not sure what I thought to the Disney family, and the life that their little girl will HAVE to have, but the emotion from them both when she was born was amazing. As for the other couple, the woman in the red nightie, please, please, please do not let me be like that, I wanted to shake her and tell her to get a grip - but then the midwife did exactly that lol. Is it mean of me to say I thought she was a bit of an actress?

I really am horrible sometimes, shouldn't think these things as I am clearly going to end up having an awful birth experience lol x x x

I agree Snoopy, but there again I have never given borth so might well end up the same lol! They always seem to get on better when they have a water birth which is why I am asking for one :0)

Lisa, I cant believe you dont get to hear your babies heartbeat - thats a bit mean! I haven't been measured by mine yet but then I was only 24 weeks when I had my last appointment and she said they dont start doing that till 26 so will be measured at my next appointment on 23rd Jan (same day as we have our 4D scan!) I have my Lucozade test on Tuesday - bloody hate the stuff but only have to drink just under 300ml so not too bad I guess.

After a relitively quiet day yesterday baby is now happily kicking away while I sit at my desk. Has anyone else felt like they are getting kicked in their lady bits? Should I be feeling it that low down already??

Morning. Congrats to Aimless and good luck to Kira!

Really not sure what to say today - grumpy again. People are starting to text me asking when the induction will be - don't want one :(

Since the sweep been feeling a bit different and had show but no signs of a baby arriving. I tried telling her off again last night but that didn't work. Even used her full name like I do with DH when he is being a pita!

DH has left for work with instructions for me to bounce on my ball and eat some more pineapple! I've got the midwife again lunchtime tomorrow (if nothing happens before) so will try and get another sweep and will have to discuss induction for next week.

41+3 now. For those saying you don't want to go over and are really heavy already, it does get worse so I really hope it doesn't happen to you!

Like you crabapple my plan is to bounce on ball today. Fingers crossed it works.
  • OBEM - I was like you snoopy, the Disney family grated on me for some reason.. and did you see her using her GHD's to straighten her fringe while the kid was in her arms only maybe an hour or so old!?! When he said she never compained and just dealt with pain I thought she as going to end up a total screamer.. but she just popped that (fairly large) baby out!

I did want to know what sixe the other baby was thougth after its shoulder was stuck and then they were saying he was a brusier and 'got to be' over 10lbs..

Lisa, new guidlines r that they dont/wont listen to baby`s heartbeat until at least 24 week :( unless u have a lovely midwife and can persuade her too! My midwife will only listen earlier if its not ur first as that way ur less likely to panic if they cant find it.
I got those nappy coupons the other day lol, and i did put on here if anyone wants any to inbox me and i`ll email the link :) I check the coupon board everyday now ;) x
oooh Kira, really hope we have some good news buy the end of the day from u! Good birth date too...12.1.12 ! xx

    Morning,
Had another radox bubble bath last night, then period pain feelings all the through night again. Still got them now, they're not regular yet, just fits and starts. So it's a pineapple and ball bouncing day today too.
I want to go for a curry with friends on Saturday night, might have to order a takeway a bit sooner instead!
  • Gilly, as a Uni lecturer I've been marking some of the work handing in before Christmas, and the student who was really upset and in tears after the exam has actually done fine, so sometimes it seems worse than it really was.

Midwife came over yesterday with all the paperwork for home birth, looks quite straightforward so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that bump obliges :) I think we'll be sorting the airing cupboard this weekend to find some old sheets and towels!

Hope something happens for you today Kira, and the other boldies!

See I can understand that but mine actually said she doesn't do it at all!
