Thanks, it's the 'week by week' one I think I'm going to get, I really just need to get my head around what to expect. Although I've picked up loads from the Newborn to 1 Year thread already :D

Well worth getting IMHO. I know reading isnt the same as experience, but it has made me feel a bit more prepared. Its good cos you can pre-read it, but also dip in as you go along, to look at say, feeding in 2nd week, or Sleeping in week 4.

Am going to look at a Maxi cosi Mura 3 that a friend of a friend has for sale on Saturday, includes carry cot and all accessories and she is looking for £150 so not bad at all, only thing is its blue and we dont know the sex of our babba, is blue ok for a girl? I was just going to get a black one

    I don't think it matters :)

Just got back from my 16 week check-up (I'm actually 17w+4) and apparently I'm the picture of health! :D I don't feel it, I ache all over and am still getting regular pains down below, plus woke at 3am with terrible back ache, but at least baby is tucked away inside seemingly oblivious! :) Had a listen to the little critter, it was wriggling around all over the place and kept kicking the mic! It confirmed to me that what I've been feeling every so often is definitely the baby moving :)

Got a pregnancy physio session tomorrow, hoping that'll help my back.

Sounds like we're about to have a flurry of babies born...exciting times! :T

Ooh, ladies, a cool not-quite-pg-related gadget i ordered arrived today.

Basically, my hospital (along with most others from what i hear), doesnt allow phone/ipod chargers to be used so i was a bit worried as my phone eats battery charge.

    I had this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000UH46YY

delivered from Amazon today, for about £22, and it is a super dooper external device charger It can recharge 2 devices at once in a matter of hours (ie my galaxy s2 and my Ipod), and has enough charge for both and can be reused as much as you like. Most of the cheapy ones for £5-6 quid are either single use, or not powerful enough for the high powered phones and devices. It will work on Ipads too! Small, and pretty light ( bit thicker and heavier than the S2 itself), its charging now, and will be packed into my mat bag for the hospital.

Just a mention, incase it will help anyone else with the hospital stresses!

Zantac Mozzy, I recommended it to Jenjade who had the worst heartburn ever I think. Most supermarkets etc do there own make of it, but I think Zantac is the best. It's not cheap though but I find it a lot better than Rennies etc.

yeah i had acid reflux and heartburn and Zantac worked best for me gavascon did nothing! good news is it went as soon as baby arrived

    Oohh. Thanks for that Kira.

We're taking iPad to hospital with us (as it has all my music with built in speaker and some games, scrabble etc) and my mobile and I was wondering if they'd let me use chargers for them. That definitely looks worthwhile if it charges them both.

lovecrafting- (i think it was you who has babies early) jannie has started a thread her baby was born early and she is struggling. was wondering if you could pop to her thread and offer some support or advice if you have time. Has anyone else got experience of prem babies? lots of people have commented but none seem to have any personnel experience

I'm still struggling with what pushchair/carrycot/travel system thingy. The selection for twin babies is nowhere near as good as singles and I'm struggling to find stuff.

Have you thought of the baby jogger city mini double?

I've ordered the single version (needed to shop around on price and got john Lewis to price match).

Edit: forgot to add that (at least with the single) you can add a carrycot or (what I am doing) attach a maxi cosi cabrio fix carseat so that your baby (babies) can face you. I tried out loads in John Lewis and it was the easiest to fold and "re-inflate" (not sure of right word!)
