Mozzy. I'd say vest, babygrow, swaddle blanket and another blanket as our room is quite warm.
All these American women on 'Maternity Ward' are making it look easy. No pain relief and no noises.
How are they doing it? I want a labour like theirs pleasex

There's a change. American OBEM, I watched one episode and every single one of the ladies got an epidural, really early on in labour too  Same with 16 & pregnant, they all seem to get induced/epidurals too.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Hi all
Can I ask a question to those who have applied for the Surestart Grant.
On part 6 it asks if there is a child in the family under the age of 16. If there is then you cannot claim. My daughter lives with me and she has a 14 year old brother so does that mean she cannot claim or does it mean if she herself has another child uner 16?0 -
The 18 year old caved and got some pain relief, but there was 3 others, and they made no noises. Just said they needed to push and out popped babies just like that. Was unreal.0

No idea about the Surestart Grant, Kimberley, sorry, I don't think we're entitled to it. I would assume though she should be able to claim if she has no other children though? I'm sure a quick call to the people involved with it would sort it outThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

For all those with babies being born between now and March, what will baby wear to bed, and with what bedding? We're using a Moses Basket, and temp will be between 16-20dg.
They say to use one layer more than you would wear.
This table is quite useful.
Room temperature and bedding guide
Room temperatureAmount of bedding
24 degrees C / 75 degrees F or moreSheet only
21 degrees C / 70 degrees FSheet plus one blanket, or a 1 tog sleeping bag
18 degrees C / 65 degrees FSheet plus two layers of blanket, or a 2.5 tog sleeping bag
16 degrees C / 60 degrees FSheet plus three layers of blanket, or a 2.5 tog sleeping bag plus a blanketMarried 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Thank you, it says if your dependant is under 20 and has no other children so I think she can claim. We don't want to be accused with fraud you see0 -
