I remember the GTT being no fun. I had to walk past a couple of cafes in the hospital and all the snack machines to get to the department and I was not happy! First place I went afterwards was to costa for a chocolate twist.

I think i was lucky. I had my GTT in a really scuzzy health centre nowhere near me, that stunk really badly of poo, and was full of ill old people with hacking phlegmy coughs. If i was hungry before i went in, the smells and sounds cured me quite quickly:).

    Morning all

Kira that sounded horrendous ! Gtt's are no fun but the lucozade did give be a bit of a sugar rush to get me through it !!

Has my bp checked again and now 140/80 prev twice bottom fig had gone up to 90, top fig is higher but it's the bottom number that needed to be kept an eye on in my case. Had blood test for iron levels too. Have to check later for wee test last week.

Last night was starving at 8pm ended up eating cinnamon honey on toast, crisps, cheesy bites and a mini pack of cereal!!!! Thankfully acid was not bad. Have found that it is not as bad as 2-3 weeks ago when it was hell!!
Sympathies to those suffering I know it's no fun at all!! I really had to be careful to eat by 6pm and cut down on chocolate when it was bad.

Re moving about in bed last week it became apparent that along with keeping legs together I needed to make sure bubs was positioned on left or right side when got out of bed and Not in middle as it was Owww!! Like being punched when got up!!

I know lots of you are doing rlt, bouncing balls, Dtd , radox ! But I am doing nothing!!!!! Am sure this will change when pass due date!!!

Book for hubby has come blokes guide to babies!!!! Teehee time for him to do some studying

Nuclear labour vibes to boldies !

Re hair length i got really desperate a few weeks a go as it was so long I cut it when tied in a pony tail :0 and demanded my husband tidy it up/trim it which he did and its just over shoulder length. Hopefully at a length where by baby cannot grab when breastfeeding which some babies take great delight in!!! Will partially swaddle the monster if that happens (just arms)!! So being able to tie hair back if bf could be quite useful!! If it's long!

I had my GTT in antenatal assessment, with another woman doing it, people popping in and out getting anti-D, and one poor panicked girl who was having some kind of problem that meant she got taken up to delivery for an induction. That was a bit scary, although she obviously had a lot of supportive people with her and was fairly late on in the pregnancy.

I suspect it will depend on your hospital, but I seem to recall being told that I could call up for them the day after, but I had the midwife then anyway so asked her and it was already on the system and I was under the cutoff level (not by much) and didn't need to do anything more.

My midwife is useless so if I didnt have to go into the day assesement unit a week later,I probably would still be non the wiser re my results:mad:

Grrrrr why do postmen not bother to knock any more to see if someone is *actually* in before shoving a 'sorry we missed you' card through the letter box?! Drives me crazy! Now I'm going to have to walk up to the post office tomorrow morning to get the stupid parcel!

Woo hoo :) John Lewis Stroller has been dispatched and will be here by Thursday! Was so worried i`d get a cancellation email!!
Amymo, funny u should say that about ur dream, i was in a "half awake" state early hours of this morning, and could have sworn i felt my waters pop, but as i was sooooo hot and sweaty in bed TMI.....sweaty down there too lol, I just laid there for ages waiting for something to happen! Nothing did so i went back to sleep hahah!
Got up for a wee at 5 am this morn, think i musta bounced off of everything between the bed and the loo! I couldnt put one foot in front of the other as my hips and pelvis were so bad, i was swaying!
Have done the Tesco shop this morning, looked for the Radox i want, but they dont sell it :(:( Rather chuffed as i got a double the diff back and had £7 back on my card, yay! I`ve only ever had a max of £1 before :) It was a nail varnish gift set BOGOF, thought they`d do for DD1s friends birthdays, even better now lol!
Annabella, i missed Russell and Noel this yr too on the BFQ :(
Hope everyone is well, ((hugs to Kira)) not long now! xxx

Please make sure you chase you results up, my Gtt confirmed I had gestational diabetes and I have had such a hard battle to control this with insulin injections and metformin, that baby is being delievered early to prevent the issues that can happen after 38 weeks.

Toniq, meant to ask you about comping, do you find all your competitions on the comp board? Also do you have a separate email address for entering? Had a thought I may aswell do something useful while sitting about the house for the next few weeks :o

Annabella that makes my blood boil, I'd make sure you put a complaint in, because when you have baby etc it's not gonna be ideal for you to have to walk up to collect things. I know some people actually have a sign on there door saying "we are in to accept parcels, please knock" More often than not though I think the posties don't even have the package with them. I ended up ordering my GHD's from the official GHD website, to get next day delivery, I read through all the t&C but I'll bet because I'm in N.I I won't get it
