Really badly need my hair cut and going this week but unsure of what to go for.

My hair is quite long about an inch underneath my bra strap, and it's naturally straight-ish, I'm unsure whether to keep the length so I can still tie it back, put it in a bun, plait etc for days where I really have no time. My hair needs washed most days, unless I'm not going anywhere I tend to leave it. I tend to have a shower early, put hair in towel, and do everything else that needs doing, make up, breakfast, tidy whatever, then go dry it, so it takes 5 minutes at most to dry as I have a salon style hair dryer.

What is everyone else doing? :( so confused.

  • I just had my hair cut Gilly and it took me weeks to decide. I like to keep it long enough that I can tie it back if I have too and aren't able to wash it.

  • Just had the first bit of my GTT. They were running an hour late so only just drank all that lucozade and now have to sit about for 2 hours. I'm literally famished and the hospital is ridiculously hot I feel like I'm gonna pass out!!! Oh well, not much I can do so I'll just smile and get on with it

My hair is similar to yours Gilly but not quite as long. Past my shoulders though. I'm keeping it this length, I don't like having short hair. I like to be able to tie it back when it annoys me/when I get hot/on non-washing days... Although having said that, since I had the week off in December due to the high BP, I've managed to get into a good routine of now only washing it every other day and using dry shampoo on the days in between. I can then get away with not tying it back if I don't want to, it looks fine down. Also, on the days I wash it, if I can't be bothered to dry it then I just twist it into a bun and leave it. It doesn't go all fluffy and weird then, but is still clean!

I had mine cut into a bob ( with one side longer than the other) when DD started school. It's dead easy to sort before the school run, all I do is straighten it then run some Tigi Bedhead through it to mess it up a bit.

I always say I'll grow it long but get fed up when it reaches my shoulders.x

Yeah I do that sometimes, just wash it and bun it or clip it back in a french roll type thing. I used to use a lot of dry shampoo, but my hairdresser-y friends have told me it's really bad for the scalp, so I've cut down a lot on my use, have loads of cans of it left though from when I bought it in a glitch :rotfl:

May just keep the length, it doesn't take me long I guess and I know if I get it cut short I'll regret it and it'd probably take me longer as it would need "styled"

Finally going to order a new pair of GHD's today, been without them for over a month now

Hugs to you. I hated my GTT, as like you, the hospital ran late so ended up going 8pm till 11:30am with no food :(

Make sure you treat yourself to a nice breakfast afterwards. Xxx

Also what is the deal with the IV Styler and then this new "Gold Styler" carry on? Confused.

I would normally have had a haircut about now but didn't book it as I had no idea what would happen with baby. As it turns out I could easily have gone :(

My hair is also longer than shoulder length, and I got it trimmed a bit last time to tidy up but so I can tie most of it back (have a bit of a fringe) and out the way. Hate having greasy hair so I really hope I can find five minutes a day to get it clean even when baby is here, even if I'm then wandering around with it wet for a while.

I can do without a cut for now, but my roots are starting to look more obvious than I like!!

I remember the GTT being no fun. I had to walk past a couple of cafes in the hospital and all the snack machines to get to the department and I was not happy! First place I went afterwards was to costa for a chocolate twist.

Good morning everyone, seems I'm like a lot of you and had a really bad nights sleep. Luckily D/H got up early to take our DS to the childminders this morning so I didn't have to and I did manage to sleep a bit once they'd gone. Fed up of being a boldie now. Last time I went into labour at 4 days over, took it's time though and had DS when 6 days over. Think I had it in my head would be similar again but now not showing any signs of anything starting and now at day 5. Feeling I should spend the day cleaning to see if it helps get things going but back hurting and suffering with pelvic girdle pain which is really painful when I've moved around a bit.

Although moaning, on a positive note it's just me at home today so is easy not having DS to run around after. Also had a new 6th gen 8GB Ipod nano delivered this morning after sending in my 1st gen one on the recall. Haven't a clue what to do with it but sure DH will sort it out tonight and get some music on it so I can pack it in my labour bag.

Good luck to the other boldies that things get moving and hope everyone else is doing well.
