    Another one who hasn't slept.
I've just got my son up for school and he's eating croissants and drinking tea and I have GTT this morning so can't touch a thing. Tummy has been rumbling all night and I'm absolutely starving. Baby is kicking me in protest at it's enforced starvation and I'm like a woman possessed trying not to look at his croissants!!!
Anybody any idea what's involved in a GTT? And more to the point, when can I eat?

Could be wrong happy as I didnt have one, but as far as I am aware they take your blood sugar level reading from fasting, get you to drink a sugary drink and then take blood sugat leves again after a period of time. It's to check hpw fast your body is absorbing and breaking down the glucose.

Yes very similar. It's called palindromic rheumatoid, palindromic means "to come and go" and it affects all my joints at different times. It's been lovely being relatively pain free during pregnancy, but know its going to hit with a vengeance when baby is around 6 weeks,so making sure I'm prepared x

Ah okay :( My uncle has had rheumatoid for about 15 years now, well diagnosed and he's been undergoing medical testing recently, revolutionary treatment, it has totally changed his life, seriously. They are hoping to have it on the market in 3-4 years! He can work again and everything, but not sure if it'd be related to what you have :(

Ooh that's fantastic that your uncle is feeling better. Hopefully it could work for different types 'crosses fingers' :)
