Morning all! Sympathy to those struggling and labour vibes to anyone who wants them!

I've just had my health visitor round, and was pleasantly surprised! Was half expecting a dragon lady judging from most people's experiences but she is actually really nice. Although turns out she's allergic to cats so I need to remember that for when she comes round in future and make sure the place is vacuumed properly and the cats are out. I have a friend who comes round quite a bit who's allergic so I'm used to having to make sure the house is as cat-hair-free as possible. Just another one I need to remember!

I now have the day entirely at my disposal! I wasn't planning on doing much but can't seem to decide what to do at all... I need to have some breakfast so will go sort that out. Don't have any milk though so may have to walk to the corner shop. Plus I've got some soup I made the other day that I need to portion up and freeze. I just can't seem to get myself up off the sofa...

My plan if my belly button starts to look like it will be an outy, is to stick a marble in it and tape it up. I used to have a very deep hole but it is getting much smaller. I'm not too keen on those negra lines either. Luckily I didn't get one of those either.

I do find pregnancy a bit tricky, loads of stuff about it set my all day sickness off, I struggle to look at babies or baby stuff which makes shopping interesting. I've never been good at looking at pregnant women either. The baby moving while im increadibly greatful for it, it has taken some getting used too. Im hoping that it is just some weird anxiety, rather than an aversion to my baby. Maybe because I've had a bunch of early losses, (6th time lucky?) my mind isn't counting the chickens before they hatch IYKWIM.

DH and best(male)friend are going to be with me, I've said besty doesn't have to watch at the end if DH is there, but I want him there. Even if he is passed out in the chair in the corner.

I'm still waiting for the hosp to ring me with my MRI scan appointment. Just rang as they told me to if I hadn't heard anything and was told its too soon and to ring back if I haven't heard by tomorrow lunchtime. think they think I'm being impatient....well I am, I need to know if this baby is ok!!! And DH is even worse, he'd have had me ringing yesterday if he could!

My belly button kind of looks like its becoming an outie but it's not too bad. It was very deep before, but now you can see the scars from when I had it pierced when I was younger, which were on the inside originally and are now about 1cm above it IYKWIM, so it's definitely kind of flattened out...

I was the same Carmilla, when I first felt Pip moving. It was very much a kind of 'oh my god there's something in there' feeling, but I dealt with that and love it now. I think it'll be something I'm going to miss once baby's here...

Dinah, my haemoglobin was 11.7 last time, normal range is 11.5-16.5, according to my notes. They repeated the bloods today to check if it is still ok, as I am so exhausted most of the time.

I also was offered codeine and referral to physio for my hip pain. Headaches and stuffy/bleeding nose - will just monitor, if I get the nosebleed I can't stop go to A&E. And - they saw something they didn't like in the urine sample, so they are sending that to the lab to check for infection. All in all, it went well, although I was hoping to get a week of work or so, just so I can get some rest. I am working from home for the rest of the day, so decided 'to move' my office to the sofa... Maybe not the best idea, but at least I can have my feet up and don't need to go up and down the stairs for a drink/snack/etc.

I will be getting scans every 4 weeks now just to check the size/position of the babies, and also the consultant/midwife appointments at the same week. As the consultant is only one morning a week at the hospital, I will need to try and make sure that I get them both at the same day... So, next time I am there - is for the scan and then 2 days later for the consultant appointment.

I thought that my belly button was kind of rolling outwards as bump got bigger, so it's interesting to know about the piercing Annabella. I've never had that done as I've never had a flat stomach where it would be worth it!

I really hope we don't have a HV with cat allergy as I have five of them and struggle to keep on top of that much cat hair! I also have one who is old and was a stray over winter (nearly died then and has ongoing issues with frost damage to her paws) and will not leave the house unless it's the middle of summer on a baking hot day.

Mind you, in this wind and rain the others haven't been out all that much - I have two sleeping by me on the sofa and another two are curled up upstairs.

Having lost track of days slightly just realised that I have the midwife again tomorrow (unless baby makes an unexpected move for the exit in the meantime). Hopefully she will be more engaged and there will be a chance of a sweep to encourage her out. Everything is all set up now - the moses basket has been set up by my bed for what feels like forever and I can't wait to have her in there. Not to mention getting her father to carry her around for some of the time - bumps are heavy!!
