Morning all. Still here too, but my SIL has offered me a go on the trampoline in their garden if necessary! Tried pineapple, bouncing on the ball, housework and DTD yesterday but none of that made any difference.

Only good thing is we haven't had too many enquiries about the baby, or at least not directly, as everyone I do speak to tells me that someone has asked them!

I recorded OBEM and may watch it today while DH is out but I'm not sure now is the right time as it really is imminent for me, and I usually find myself getting frustrated at the useless fathers. Just hoping DH will be better than that!

I still have an innie bellybutton, which I'm really glad about as the outies kind of freak me out too. Mind you, it was really deep before I got pg and there's not that much of it left now:rotfl:

  • I watched OBEM last night and from the first second that Kurt opened his mouth he irritated me, whiney little attention seeking sod! You could tell it all had to be about him.

Well. Got up early for my Mothercare order and just been delivered now.

One thing for my hospital bag is now showing up as a pre order delivery, and is due for delivery in 4 weeks time, when it was in stock at checkout and then theres 3 packets of wipes are completely missing from the order.

Think after this, I'll just stick to buying things instore. It's not worth the hassle. Ggrrrrr.

With regards to the bloke on One Born, I'd be scared to be honest. Having a newborn baby around and him having a temper like that, I lost count of how many things he punched/kicked/headbutted. That and he showed no support for his missis.

Hi guys - I lurk occasionally but am on the TTC thread or parents one mostly.

However, I watched OBEM last night as well and thought I'd just post and say that i had my first child in Oct 2010 and he weighed in at 10lb 10oz  as well and I didn't need any intervention.

I had to be cut and had G&A and one shot of pethidine but apart from that I got him out on my own. We knew he was going to be big (had been guessed at 9lb) but not that big! Even more amusing is that I am only 5ft3 and my DH is 5ft8. Neither of us were big at birth so we have no idea why he was that size!

He was also very sleepy due to the pethidine so he didn't cry either. Amusingly any midwife who was free came in to see him as they didn't believe that a woman with size 3 feet could possibly have had a baby that size on her own. Apparently I was the talk of the maternity unit! :o

So basically while intervention is sometimes needed it isn't always necessary and can be a good experience even when baby is bigger! It's all worth it in the end - don't be scared! Good luck to you all. Hope I get back in here soon!

I watched OBEM with DH holding my hand for support! When that violent moron was waiting outside the maternity unit for them to buzz him in I was praying they didn't let him in as he was getting the labouring mums worked up. They both seemed so young, I felt really sorry for the baby. Especially when he said 'now I have someone who has to always love me' - the baby will grow up, and if you have moods like that will be scared of you.

    Morning all :)

Watched a bit of OBEM  it was actually the idiot bloke who scared me most!

Was a bit stressed yesterday had my 38 wk check bp is higher but was checked on med cuff instead of large so she tried again but still higher so getting it checked by mw tomorrow. Also tmi my wee sample was a bit like lucozade  when produced but at the gps it had turned cloudy so that is being sent off for test in case of infection. Got to have full blood count Monday so that they can see what fig my iron levels are for labour so they can be prepared, previously 10.3 fully expecting it to be lower as slightly breathless although that might be baby position.
Have been getting pain like an odd stitch under right rib we think that is baby feet!

My hips/pelvis feel delicate to say the least, think the weight has really caught up with me, feels like could do serious damage if don't have my legs together when get out of bed  it's also painful at times sitting, bending is ow!

See 38 wks and am falling apart!! But consider myself lucky upto now so think its payback !!!

Think I got up every hour to wee last night so really tired. Hubby has decamped to second bedroom as am pregnancy snoring!! But I don't like it but at the end of the day it's probably the last few days etc he is gonna get any sleep. Think might ask him to stay with me for a bit then decamp as I think I am getting less sleep. God anyone else fed up of the weather noise all I can hear is strong winds at night!

Ordered tesco delivery as no way can do a shop so might have something decent for tea yay!

    Labour vibes to boldies!!

I darent look at the list anymore !!

    Tc all

Thanks for that Nephthys, realistically I know I can do an 8 10, as I already did, it's just the possibility of late 9 or 10 pounds worrying me, as I want as little intervention as possible. I'm not tall either, no idea where they come from!

Snoopy, I did kinda think anyone who still sucked their thumb might not be mature enough for a baby! Lol, hope I've not just insulted any closet suckers here! ;)

Can anyone tell me which of the shorthand letters on the Haematology result sheet is shorthand for iron? Trying to work out which figure relates to iron.
