Well, am still here after a bit of a restless night. The storm winds kept me awake off and on, but was feeling most odd. Might be the start of things- might not of course. Headache, feeling sick, my bump kept having waves of tightness (what i imagine BH to be but never had any before!), and some much stronger tummy pains and back ache. Still feel wierd this morning, and kind of energised mentally, with the odd spasm, but nothing major.
Now got to decide if i still go to the M/w this afternoon at 3.30, or cancel? What do you think?0 -
Still go Kira, as she may be able to feel even slight contractions across ur bump
The waves u describe sound like BH, but could of course be mild real ones! Its funny how u say u feel "weird" thats all i kept saying the day i went into labour with Lily. I was 3 days late, and every time someone called/text, all i could say was, " i just dont feel right, i feel weird" lol. Also IF she offers a sweep, it might get the ball rolling
Stupid stormy winds and rain last night were driving me mad! Need to go to the shop this morn to get veg for tonights roast pork, and then taking the girls to the ball pit with friends. Sooo tired tho! Oooh, also gonna get me some more washing powder while its on offer ;0) xx
Thanks hon. Nice to get someone elses take. Tried asking DH what he thinks, and he just says "only you know"! Helpful.... Think i'll probably go, as i havent seen anyone for over 2 weeks with the xmas break.
I'm hoping she will offer a sweep, even though the last one from the consultant was so awful.
It was sooooo windy here, and next doors gate wasnt closed so kept swinging and banging loudly ALL night, Grrrrrrrrrr,
Just waiting for Mr sainburys to deliver between 10-11 now..More nappies, dishwasher tabs, ready meals, general stocking up..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Grrr just wrote a post then hit the wrong button and lost it!
I'd go Kira, can't do any harm! Sounds like things *could* be starting for you, at least the midwife should be able to give you an indication either way!
I was planning on walking up to the drop-in blood clinic at my surgery this morning as the midwife I saw on Friday said they want to check my iron levels again, but as it was a Friday afternoon she didn't want to take the blood then, so asked me to go up one morning this week. I was going to go today to get it out of the way but the weather is so hideous that I've decided it can wait until tomorrow! I'll also get OH to drop me off first thing on his way to work, then at least I'll only have to walk home!
So am now off to shower, then I'm going to make soup with some veg that's been lurking in my fridge for a couple of weeks, and potter around the house tidying up a bit, but most importantly I'm going to stay in the warm!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
U can ask for gas and air for ur sweep hun, my friend does for every single internal she ever has as she just cant cope with it, and yet she has had 3 kids hahah! Just do ur breathing as if u were breathing thru a contraction if not, u should be fine, and at least u know if only takes 30 seconds if that then its all over!
That reminds me, i need to call the surgery and book my app for in 2 weeks time, midwife only does tuesdays and the slots fill up quick!! Also need to call physio to get booked in too.
If my neighbours gate had been banging, i`d have sent DH to go shut it, or even got up myself to do it! Our gate doesnt bang, but i have a real phobia/fear of going to sleep with it open! So many a time i`ve gone down late at night to shut it coz some inconsiderate !!!!!! has left it open! xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T

Kira - unless it really obviously kicks off beforehand I would say go see the midwife anyway. If things do happen then I doubt you would be the first person not to turn up for an appointment because labour has started first.
I don't have any signs apart from feeling a bit weird either, and I think that may just be down to broken sleep - regular trips to toilet and the sound of the wind round the house were both really distracting. One strange thing literally in the last day is I have become stupid weepy and cried at the tv several times. That is really unusual for me even in pregnancy mode and I don't like it.
DH has gone off to work today, grumpy as anything about it. I have so far fielded e-mails from a couple of people and a text from my MIL offering to come keep me company. What is bugging me about that is that they don't just admit they want to know about the baby, or seem to believe that we will tell them!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

LOL at the breathing... i was seriously panting when the consultant did the sweep. It was the only thing that stopped me screaming . Not sure they have G&A at our surgery though. Never seen any sign of it before.
Our M/W is the same, only Tuesdays 2-3.30, which is kind of why i have been reluctant to cancel, as no chance of getting an appointment if you dont book waaaaay in advance.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Well i`ve been calling our surgery non stop for the last 30 mins and its still engaged, argh! Got a physio app, not til 20th jan tho
have also called the bank to cancelled my gym direct debit, and called the gym, so i`m on a roll lol! just need the drs to answer the phone!!!
I know the sweep is painful, not just uncomfortable like they say, as with DD2 it was so bad i refusd to have one with DD3! lol altho i`m so desperate to not go over due this time i`ll prob be begging them for one! xxMummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3,and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T
