That's ridiculous, at least you got it in the end, that's the main thing I guess. I've never ordered anything from Kiddicare, but hearing that would put me off.

I really don't understand companies who will mess people around especially when you're spending a lot of money. I've worked in Customer Service, and we were expected to bow down at customers feet, even when we knew they were messing us around, telling lies etc. We had to go along with it and offer them everything under the sun. So some companies are obviously just hoping you'l go away.

OH's sister has just text to say she's bought us a bloody swing. We have no room! I am grateful she's thinking about us, but at this moment in time, he isn't born our baby has more things than me and OH.

Let's hope he likes all these chairs and things, heard some babies don't like anything like that!

Also with your Sola, have you bought the extra mattress for inside the carrycot? I'm toying with the idea but can't decide either way.

I've been in CS too.. I always tried to be polite and understanding but honest, even if the customer wouldnt like the truth- nothing worse IMHO, than being fobbed off or fibbed to. Annoying when you get rude, lying customers though, the temptation to let something slip out is sooooooo bad, especially when i was on early earlies at 5am and brain not quite engaged.

Yes, i have bought an overnight mattress for the Sola. We didnt fancy the additional clutter of a moses basket, so we are planning on using the carrycot bit for downstairs naps etc, or if we go and stay anywhere overnight. Managed to find a BN in sealed packaging one on Ebay for less than half price..:D

May have a look on Ebay then, I was thinking of using the pram for day time naps too, we're on the one floor anyway and our flat is tiny, but I thought it would help distinguish between "daytime" and "nighttime" for baby. I think I will go with that then, it's £25 from M&P so hopefully I can find something online cheaper :)

We have a moses basket but it's at MIL's and it doesn't have a stand, and we have no room, so rather than buying a stand I think the mattress would be a better buy.

to be honest, the moses basket is a bit of a waste downstairs anyway for us, the pram will go out on the balcony with sleeping baby in it (and a cat net over it) when its raining she will go downstairs (we live above a shop so our downstairs is like car level and out living area is balcony level then upstairs is, well upstairs) in the back yard thats got a covered bit in the pram. the moses basket will only really be used for night time.

Can i ask what is probably a really stupid question?
I have been debating about getting a moses basket cos otherwise i dont know what else baby will sleep in downstairs but upstairs i havent got room for a stand and a cot so would just put the basket in the cot. Is this really daft or is that what people do? And if i dont get one where can i put him to sleep when im downstairs. Im confused or stupid...or possibly both
    Hope everyone is well
    xx

You can put the basket in the cot :) but as Love crafting said you can just use your pram, that's what I'm intending on doing, well once I get a proper mattress sorted out for it. We don't even have upstairs and downstairs but I want to differentiate between daytime and night time and thought it's probably the easiest way to do it.

Well i hadnt even thought of the pram. Will it be comfy enough? God i am stupid!!!
Yes there would be room to have the pram up downstairs so that would be an option. Just decided that i dont have the money to be buying things that arent going to be useful and if i dont have a stand im not sure if the moses basket would be helpful or not.
    Thanks lovecrafting
