Well I'm still here, still cramping, and very uncomfortable. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Good luck Gilly! xxx
Congrats all new mums!! xxx
I get my C- section date either tomorrow or next monday, it will be in the next 2 and half weeks, as they wont let baby go to 38 weeks because of the diabetes.Very excited but bricking it as I always thought I would have a normal labour, never thought |I'd be having a section.
My consultant has been amazing, she has me checked over by midwife every week as well as seeing her weekly, my Bp has started to rise but nothing major and protein is not enough to be a worry, the diabetes has caused me a lot of issues but thankfully an end in is in sight xxxxx
Hope everyone ok xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
Sadly I don't think its anything exciting Toniq
my body is just playing with me I think.

38 weeks is the cut off point to tell the midwife, dont let them fob you off with being under staffed the law in the uk says you are entitled to ante natal care and it extends to home aswel.
the pool thing might be a bit of a rush job tho, but you will manage it.x
Thank you, that's really useful to knowHopefully I'll actually get to see the midwife this time - only met her twice, my other appointments have all been with students or stand-ins.
Will just have to keep my legs crossed until the pool arrives :rotfl: I've got 4 mystery shops this week, and back to work on Weds, then friends visiting Saturday / Sunday, then temporary lodger for a few days next week so definitely no time for queue jumping here :rotfl:
I have a Medela swing electric breast pumpAfter a session of ringing round the various Tescos to try and find one of their specail offer ones, I gave up. Then did a search of the freeads last night, and someone was selling a brand new unused one for £40 - and they just delivered it to my Dad's house! :j Just hope breastfeeding works out now, at least I can sell it on and hopefully get my money back if necessary.

Oooh meant to say, for all those who are interested. Mamas & Papas phoned me today, was a nice lady I got and she offered me another £30 gift card, which I accepted, I do feel it's maybe a bit mean, but that's 2 x £30 giftcards we've received and the hoods for our pram (£75) for free, so didn't want to push it much further
Will go towards our changing bag I thinkThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Result!!!!!
Indeed, I'm actually glad they phoned and didn't just send a letter. I tried to stress to the girl that it wasn't the mess up's that annoyed me it was the attitude of the phone call operators and if they're dealing with pregnant women who have spent hundreds of pounds they should be more tactful and pleasant and she assured me she could tell who I'd spoken to etc, so I'm happy enough with that. OH is grumbling at me saying I should have pushed for more, but I'm happy enough with what they've offered and are telling me. Plus I really didn't want to pay the amount for the changing bag, so this will enable me to almost get it half price, so happy days

Sounds like you finally got someone with a customer service head on, not call centre mentality! Half price change bag sounds good.
Kiddicare, Pah! Despite the promise of a call back with an update, they never bothered calling. It would seem they decided it hadnt been sent afterall, as another separate package mysteriously arrived the next day, despite no second despatch email, or second order/parcel number. Had a text from the delivery people giving me a slot, which was the first i knew of a second package or resolution, and then got a mail from Kiddicare, that arrived after the parcel, saying it had been sent separately. No kidding!!
Would have been nice if they had bothered to get on touch personally, and not just pretend it hadnt happened. Not terribly impressed with them TBH, so will try and avoid using them again, which is a shame, as the actual next day delivery with 1 hour slots was very good.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

That's ridiculous, at least you got it in the end, that's the main thing I guess. I've never ordered anything from Kiddicare, but hearing that would put me off.
I really don't understand companies who will mess people around especially when you're spending a lot of money. I've worked in Customer Service, and we were expected to bow down at customers feet, even when we knew they were messing us around, telling lies etc. We had to go along with it and offer them everything under the sun. So some companies are obviously just hoping you'l go away.
OH's sister has just text to say she's bought us a bloody swing. We have no room! I am grateful she's thinking about us, but at this moment in time, he isn't born our baby has more things than me and OH.
Let's hope he likes all these chairs and things, heard some babies don't like anything like that!
Also with your Sola, have you bought the extra mattress for inside the carrycot? I'm toying with the idea but can't decide either way.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
