Nottingham eSaver Plus (issue 2)

My most recently transfer into the Nottingham account has arrived via FP - on same day - whilst all the earlier transfers took 3 days via BACS.
Not sure whether this means that they have now moved to accepting FPs across the board, or if it was a one-off.
Making another transfer tomorrow, so then I'll know.0 -

Well FYI on Oct 17 I wanted to to transfer £20000 into the Nottingham, so I rang LTSB to ask if there was a limit for faster payments online (I had read the limit had been raised to £25000/day, but also had read of a £10k limit, and NO LIMIT!)
I was asked who I wanted to transfer to, and was told they probably didn't accept faster payments - so I asked what the limit was anyway... and was told £1000! I kid you not, he told me the limit for faster payments was £1000 a day. I told him I'd read it was at least £10K, but he stuck to his guns.
Anyway, I knew this was b*****ks, so I transferred anyway, £10k at first to see what happened - this was the result:
17 Oct 11 **NOTTINGHAM BS 17OCT11 FPO 10000.00
17 Oct 11 **NOTTINGHAM BS 17OCT11 FPO 10000.00
For those who don't know. FPO stands for "Faster Payments Outgoing"
The mind boggles - you'd be better off asking a random person in the street.Maybe it's just me0 -

Be interesting to know if they're doing FP out now. I did ask them this when I opened the account as their T&Cs say that wef from November transfers in would be complete within 24 hours, but they "didn't know".0 -
As I understand it the account is closed to new money coming in now anyway.0

The account's only closed to new applications, you can add to accounts already open.0 -
FP into Nottingham has been working for at least a few weeks.
I'm going to try an outgoing payment from Nottingham as soon as I can spare a few minutes...
And FP limit from Lloyds is definitely 25K.0 -
Yep, today's deposit arrived same day via FP. Good stuff!0

mmmmmmmmmmmmm,
I received a secure message from the Notts saying that the account had been withdrawn and that further deposits would be returned.
As it happened I did indeed have a further deposit in the BACS pipeline and it was indeed reversed back to my bank account - together with a further secure message from the Notts to say this had been done - and an agrieved letter from my bank a week later to also inform me of this.
Now as usual I am rejected by the electronic ID check so have to submit everything by paper - in this case it was useful as I have my photocopy of the paper application form and it clearly says Eaver plus issue No 2 - but I NOW suspect from the above posts in this thread that the Notts actually opened a totally different account for me......oops.....that is a major mess up.
Nowhere either in the on line portal on in their account opening confirmation messages to me does it actually confirm the account type/name - merely the account number, so I have no way of knowing what the account really is.
I shall to quote a rather over used phrase "be making urgent enquiries into this" with the Notts Building Society0 -
Isn't the point that your opening deposit didn't get to the Nottingham in time, and therefore was returned?
We are talking about subsequent deposits, once the account is open (and funded) before the account was withdrawn from sale.0 -

When you're logged on, it should confirm (under "my esavings account", "account information") what the account name is, ie "esaver plus, issue 2).0
