I sent my opening deposit Friday and it has been credited today. So not as fast as some accounts, such as saga,aa,etc but hopefully from Nov 1st they should catch up with the faster payments,as advertised.

As far as I can remember, the NW bonus started on the 15th of the month FOLLOWING the month in which you opened the account. I've got one too. Really ought to go and check!

I can't see this mentioned anywhere in the terms. But have wondered why there is a slight difference between gross and AER.

I've sent them a secure message regarding the fact that they say in their t&cs that wef 1 November withdrawals will be in the nominated account within 24 hours, so I asked them if payments would be received within 24 hours also, but I just got a garbled message saying that they are still in the process of sorting out FP, and to assume that all payments and receipts will take 3 working days. They'd better not try taking 3 working days if I want to withdraw from them after 1 November, as their t&cs definitely state 24 hours after that date.

Probably something to do with the term being slightly less than 1 year ?

Yes it is quite unusual to take 3 days to receive a payment although technically it is only 48 hours ,but generally most companies are receiving payments in within a few hours. However i have not come across one that allows withdrawals that quickly.I always expect them to take 48 hours when withdrawing back to my bank account.Hopefully all institutions will be within 24 hours from 1st November.

That's got to be it, because mine was opened very soon on 20 Sep. The bonus ends on 31 Aug 2012, and the interest date is 31 Aug. So it must have been launched in Sep and that accounts for the difference.

Are you referring to the Nottingham account? The dates you mention are correct. My question previously answered about last year's Natwest offer ending its bonus period - is there anything I've missed if I transfer all but £1 to Nottingham BS? My initial depost transfer showed up today. The remaining £1 will have the remaining Natwest interest added. Nottingham's rate > Natwest so I would gain slightly.

Yes, the slight difference between the headline rate and the AER.

Opened this account and made Bac's payment of £500-next day derbyshire announced slightly better rate account but with minimum balance of £1 to earn rate- whereas Nottingham is £500. So decided to open Derbyshire account and withdraw funds from Nottingham Logged onto Nottingham last week to make a withdrawal changed password etc but then found needed an esavings code card to be able to proceed. NO card so no withdrawal. Card arrived in todays post have now entered my response code and each time it has been rejected. Tried ringing help line no(just after 6pm) and no one answers phone and no details of opening hrs on esavings code card letter. First time dealt with Nottingham on internet but not a good start so will have to wait until tomorrow. Know its early days but has anybody made a successful withdrawal from this account using esavings code card?
