    Good Afternoon

Thanks for popping by Mummy, I feel shattered now :)

Pennys £2012 challenge has just had a lovely boost, a very nice lady in Mr A asked me a few questions about one of their displays and gave me £20 cash for the priviledge  Things like that never usually happen to me so I was very surprised but appreciative.

I have finished the upstairs blitz so now I'm cracking on with the vat work before the kids want feeding. I am really tired now, my early morning mini tidy has caught up with me. I must get some ironing done as well before the pile gets too

    Catch up soon xxx

    Good Evening

A quick catch up, just finished my ironing so will just have the school uniforms and a few of my work things to do over the weekend :j

This weekends jobs include listing more stuff on ebay and to go through my huge pile of Good Food magazines and tear out which recipes I'd like to try. I've bought a new folder with tabs so I'm going to file them all away under seperate headings such as salad, vegetables etc (very sad I know) :rotfl:

    Good Morning

The recipe sorting is taking so long, I'm aiming to look through 3 magazines each night so its not too overwhelming. There are lots of lovely things though and I'm looking forward to trying some out, DS will probably moan though!

Its so cold here again today so I'm leaving the heating on all day but set it at 18c so it should keep the house a nice temperature without getting too hot/cold. I think it can be justified though as we've hardly used it over the last few weeks.

    Todays jobs
    • Household finances - not been done for 3 weeks but I'm not expecting anything horrific
    • Iron school uniforms
    • List a few more ebay items
    • Washing
    • Get out later - still need to buy DS some ski trousers
    • Look through ski stuff and see what needs replacing (hoping nothing needs buying)
A few items are ending on ebay later, so I'll update my signature when I've received payments.

    Have a good day xx

WOW i second what Mtg says! You are so organised! Mind you if i actually enjoyed cooking i may have done something similar ;) but as it is i hate being in the kitchen cooking, so hate trying new things as it means being in there even longer trying to figure it out lol. My chef is away for a month ;) so spag bol, shepherd's pie & stew is about as fancy as i stretch lol!

What is the 2012 challenge? making £2012 as extra income? :)
    Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000
    Mortgage OP goal 2026 - £1200/£4500
Read 24 books this year 14/24

  • Hi choo hope you have a good day.

Hello to everyone who popped by over the weekend

DFW - £2012 challenge has been thought of by Pennywise on her diary - basically to count up how much extra money can be made through surveys, ebay, quidco etc

A few more sales were made on Ebay over the weekend so now I have another £7.24 to add to my total, I need to catch up on suveys at some point this week as well.

I've printed the Flylady list off for last week so I'm going to work through that this week, a little every night instead of trying to cram everything into Thursday and Friday, will report back how I'm finding it.

The ironing pile is done so all that will all need to be put away later. I didn't manage to get our finances done yesterday as I was busy tidying up after everyone else and I ran out of time. We made a quick list of what the kids still need for ski-ing and its not too bad - googles, socks and trousers for DS, will look on Ebay for some bargains I think.

I think thats about it from me, catch up soon xxx

    Hi Choo,

I know what you mean about keeping up to jobs making things easier. We have done nothing in the house all weekend due to DD's birthday and ive had to spend all morning pretty much getting it back into order!! xx

    Good Morning

Mummy - I agree doing a little every day is alot better x

Another cold day here today. I started the flylady list last night and I'm surprised how much can get done in an hour, I don't know if I'll manage to work off the list tonight as we have some after school activities. I did a quick swish and swipe round the bathrooms and kitchen this morning as I do like to return home to a tidy house.

Dinner is all prepped for tonight, it will just need re-heating - chili, rice and garlic bread.

    Anyway the list for today
    • Stay away from the sales (I have been really good this year -only window shopped and not actually purchased) :money:
    • Put ironing away
    • Meal plan - try and use up everything that we have in the fridge/freezer and meal plan around whats available and not what we fancy - hoping for a £30 max spend this week
    • Sort through 3 Good Food magazines and file the recipes
    • 1 task from Flylady (will catch up tomorrow)
I think thats it from me, will catch up with everyones diaries later (still reading but not posting :o)

Hope everyone has a great day xxx

    Good Morning

    Hope everyone is ok x

The flylady system has worked really well for me this week, I actually managed to spend some time sitting down on my days off instead of rushing round in a mad panic like usual. I will definitely be following it again next week.

The skies looking abit dark at the moment but its blowy so I'm hoping to get some washing out instead of using the TD.

DH booked our ski holiday this morning, paid abit more than I was hoping for but we're not going to have a summer holiday this year with everything else that will be going on. So now I have to book the moggy into the cattery and submit some forms into school to take the kids out during term time and buy a few more bits for the kids and we'll be ready to go. DH was amazed though as the lady on the phone said that they'd been busy for 2 days solid taking bookings, I was naive in thinking we'd get a mega bargain due to the recession, shows what I know!

    Jobs for this weekend

    Iron school uniforms
List more stuff on ebay - FREE LISTING WEEKEND FOR ITEMS OVER A £1

So a smaller list than usual, long may it last xxxx
