Thanks everyone, I will stick around!

So on to today - effing snow, I hate it in this country, its just a damned nuisance! Everything gets wet, everything seems like hard work, everythings cold oh dear I am a moaning minnie this morning :(

    The list for today

    :)Washing
    :)Ironing
    :)Tidy up the house

I have no motivation for housework at the minute, so only doing the bare minimum and very begrudgingly as well. I think my mindset is now focused on the renovations that will be done and I'm thinking not much point spending alot of time cleaning when everythings going to be smashed about in a couple of months anyway! Just keep it tidy (topshow)

I've just added £1.35 to my challenge - I got a free McDs coffee the other day!
  • Hi Choo,

I dont mind the snow when I dont need to do anything.. but when does that ever happen!!! It was super slippy walking to school this morning. Snow on top of ice.. not good!! Saw a couple of parents falling over on the way too.

I wouldnt bother super cleaning either, like you say its all getting pulled out and will require all your efforts then!!

  • Sod the cleaning is what i say choo, it just gets messy again anyway:rotfl:.

Don't get me started on the weather, i'm pig sick of feeling cold, getting wet, defrosting the bl**dy car and everything generally taking ten times longer than it should:mad:.

    Sorry i'm moaning now.

    Good Morning

Mummy and Pennywise - it was a case of s*d the cleaning and you're right Pennywise it does always get messed up and its always me who ends up tidying up again.

Its half term - wahoo, no school runs, no standing in the cold playground and no making pack ups :j I'm at work two days this week but have made no real plans for the days that I'm not working. Today is going to be spent tidying the house as it looks like a bomb has gone off  Hopefully the kids will find some friends to play with and I can just get on with it, in reality they'll find some friends to play with and drag them all back home and I'll end up with more kids :rotfl:

    So the list for today

    Tidy the house
    Sort out the airing cupboard
    Put the ironing away
Make a steak and ale pie
    More washing
Give DD wardrobe a quick tidy, her bedroom needs totally gutting but for now a quick tidy will have to do.
Try not to get annoyed with having everyone including DH under my feet all day!
Find some cheap/free activities for the 2 spare days

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx
  • Enjoy your busy day Choo, hope the kids go round someone elses house instead of yours!!! xx

    Good Morning

Mummy - I did manage to lose a child yesterday, he ended up going to his friends and staying until teatime so I didn't have to feed him at lunchtime :j

So Happy Valentines Day, I got diddly squat! mind you I have banged on about it been commercialised so I can't complain too much.
I weighed myself yesterday :(:(:( oh dear is all I can say, I am edging towards 11 stone  that is the heaviest that I've ever been, drastic measures are required. I suppose I'm lucky because I'm quite tall and hide it well but even so I'm starting to feel abit doughy and ashamed so action will be taken. The plan of action is

:oHalf a stone at a time - target weight is 9 and a half stone
    :oNo alcohol
:oNo crisps, biscuits, sweets or cake (a small treat occasionally)
    :oMore walking/biking
    :oSmaller portions of food
:oInvest in a Just Dance game for the Wii and give the neighbours something to laugh about

Small steps can be taken immediately but after we've been away ski-ing will be the big weightloss push!

Right I'm popping out now for a walk to the bank xxx
  • Morning :)

I'm also edging towards 11st (only i am 5' 4" so not ideal!!) i do well for a week or so then I fall off the wagon with naughty foods :( i hate dieting.....almost as much as the snow lol!

My gripe with it (thought i'd add to the list if ya don't mind ;) ) is that it takes me half hour just to get the two little ones ready to walk out the door! So annoying! coats, scarves, hats, gloves, wellies, warm clothes...........grrrr..........rolll on summer!!!! ;)

I agree that finding scarves, hats and gloves that aren't soggy isn't very much fun, DD likes to leave her stuff in her drawer at school and then moans when she has nothing to wear in the morning to keep warm!

    Good Morning

Just a quick update - Quidco have paid me £22.76 this morning, courtesy of DH car insurance in October, signature updated accordingly :j

I need to renew my car insurance as its due at the end of February but we'll be in Switzerland ski-ing 26th onwards so I need to get it sorted at the weekend! More expense!

    Good Morning

What a lovely sunny day, cold but at least the suns out! Its predicted to be 17 degrees by the end of the week - party on! BBQ anyone? :rotfl:

The weekend has been pretty uneventful and just the usual drudge!
We've finally decided on a builder so the work is scheduled to start in the summer :j The extra mortgage has been agreed
 we're going to be in debt forever (good debt but even so its still debt) We do have plans to pay off the extra asap part of it involves me expanding the self-employed side of my business but with all thats going to be going on over the summer it will have to wait until life settles down again, I'm aiming for January 2013 to start building the business and hopefully repay some of the mortgage.

    So the plans for today
    :(Pile of washing
:(Put the ironing away from yesterday
    :(Sort the airing cupboard out
    :)Help the kids with homework
:jStart packing for next weekend :j

I have cashed out 2 survey sites this weekend - £36 but I'll wait until I receive the money before I update my signature.
One of my items on ebay has a large bid on it as well ending later on today but I'll update my signature once I receive payment.

I think thats about it from me, hope everyone has a lovely day xxx
