    Good Morning

Hi DFW - ski-ing is great fun, maybe you could have a try on an indoor slope at some point x

I claimed a £10 survey voucher last night for Outfit so will update my signature once it arrives.

The weather is lovely again, I got all the washing, dried and ironed yesterday so it needs putting away later on today. Doing 2 weeks worth is not a fun way to spend a Saturday but at least its done now.

Not much else to report, DH is annoying me big style at the moment by leaving his stuff around, expecting some fairies to pick up after him; the usual moan about DH. I'm sure I'm not the only one who went away on holiday but I seem to have done all the washing and sorting out.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx

    Good Afternoon

Mummy - my DH needs telling what to do for holidays, so sometimes its just easier to do it myself!

Not much to report really, DH has just packed all the ski stuff away and will pop it back in the garage later on. I've borrowed my bosses rather wizzy planning spreadsheet so I'm planning on adapting it to use for own house revamp planning.

DH booked our train tickets for when we go down to the olympics in August, hotel prices are ridiculous so we'll just go down for the day and have a nice lunch somewhere and buy some sandwiches for the journey home (may even sneak a bottle of wine in there as well) We bought a family rail card so for all 4 of us to travel down its cost us £130, not too bad at all. We will be up at silly o'clock but its a once in a lifetime experience so we can all put up with some tiredness.

My car needs some petrol but I'm hoping I might get away with putting £10 in to last until payday and then put the extra budgetted amount away in my moneybox to spend when we go to the olympics :T

Its quite cold and showery here today so I'm going to have to use the TD :(

Its sausages, horseradish mash and balsamic onion gravy for dinner tonight, no doubt DS will moan!

I think thats about it from me.

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday xxx

    Good afternoon

Mummy - the work starts in July, the builder just has one more job before ours so fingers crossed that the weather stays nice.

I have received a £10 voucher for outfit so will add that to my total, I also found a WH Smith voucher in a drawer that I'd forgotten about for £10 so that will also be added. I have been to WH Smiths after school with DD and bought her friend a birthday present and had a 20% voucher off so thats another £1.20 to add and finally I made the most of starbucks generous offer of a free latte the other day so will also add another £2.10 to my signature.

I had a lovely Mothers Day, the kids made me homemade cards and bought me some chocolate, wine, a plant and some handcream so I was thoroughly spoilt. My parents came for tea so it was a lovely day!

I have a mountain of work to get through tonight so I'm going to get the pack ups made in a minute, make some dinner and then make a start on it all.

    Catch up soon xxxx
  • Evening/ afternoon choo :)

You're doing really well sticking to plans & budgets. I worry myself that once i am debt free i will just go on mad spending sprees each month  so very nice to see that you can still stick to a budget as well as having no debts to pay lol! How exciting for all the building work- will it last long? Be great when it is all done :) xxx

    Hi DFW

I don't find it too hard sticking to the budget as I always think back to how awful I felt at my LBM, I do truly look at everything now before buying it and have a think do I really need it.
I can also walk into clothes shops, make up shops now and not buy anything, I just think to myself if I buy that now thats £x that I would be able to spend on something when I do truly need something.

The building work will last about 6-8 weeks so not too long but it will make a huge difference to us all.

    Good Morning

I hope everyone is well x

Not much going on really, just getting over all the bugs that have been hanging around since we got back off holiday.
I feel asleep last night and Thursday night on the sofa for 2 hours and then went up to bed and slept all night, time to slow down abit I think. I find it really hard to switch off though and don't like leaving things that I know need to be done.

    So anyway onto todays list

    Blitz and declutter the office
List a load of ebay items as its free listing weekend

DH was paid yesterday so the bank account looks healthy again and I get paid next week :j

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xxx
  • have a lovely weekend choo! i should be ebay listing but really ahve no motivation for it! xx
