  • Hi Happy,

I have had a shocking headache all week too :( And today I have a dodgy tum too :(

I am liking the idea of rounding down, do you do this daily?
    Just keep swimming!
  • o no hope your feeling better soon, I hate headaches.

I do round down daily but only if I am still on budget or under if I am short for a bill I leave it until its paid. I also transfer anything I have saved such as petrol costs if we use DH company car as soon as thats saving is made. I tried to do it weekly but found DH always needed (wanted!!!!) something where as now its not there he dont mention it!

New tactic with DH regarding money, I have hidden the deposit in DSs bank account and he dont know where it is I am hoping to build it up by £400 each month anything left over when we move will pay for a second hand sofa (ours has had it) a second hand dinning room table and the remainder on barclaycard.

  • Has it really been 3 days since I last posted!

A few more over payments to barclaycard but this will stop now for a few weeks as DHs expenses cheque still hasn't cleared. I really dont understand his company they gave him a float of £500 for expenses and last month was he told off for submitting his expenses at around the £250 mark he had to wait till it was around £500 so he submitted £500's worth 8 days ago had to wait 2 days for a cheque as the boss was busy its still has not cleared and so far I have had to sub him £200 :mad: I also checked his bank online and his is overdrawn by £35 so will have to clear this and ensure I check next month what charge he will get and cover that aswell  I have had to tell him today to keep ontop of it or he will face the concequences alone :( He needs to speak to his boss and get his expenses paid out earlier or get paid direct into his account at least it would clear on time.

    Rant over!

I will get my barclaycard statement in 6 weeks so will be able to see the benefit of all the little payments :D I alo believe santander is below £3000 now (until the interest is added on!). Now to sell my husband :D

No overpayments yet as OH expenses still not cleared.

Been busy papering the wallpaper is awful to hang I hope once finished it will look OK as we cant afford to do it again!

DD1 got hold of a pair of scissors while I was decorating and had given herself a haircut, its looking lovely!! DD2 is now the proud owner of 2 sparkly white teeth!! DS is very excitable at the moment, his new school has altered his mood for the better, everytime I collect him he comes out chatting to different people.

Hopefully money matters will be back on track next week... this would be so much easier if OH was on board.

  • What is it with Oh's, do they not realise how much it would benefit them as well. Mine refuses to take any interest.:)

  • Low spend weekend for us, I did get some 4p clothes and socks for the kids and milkshake which was glitching at tesco express.

I have put up a bit more wallpaper but it is an absolute nightmare.

We have also wrapped all DSs christmas presents, cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and packed 1 box ready for when we move.

I am so bored its unreal I think we need to treat ourselve next month before I go dolally! We are visiting my parents for 2 weeks over christmas so perhaps DH will take me out for a meal.

  • Rather you, than me, putting up wallpaper. I have only hung wallpaper once. Everything now gets painted instead.

Hopefully your costs may go down over Christmas if you are away for two weeks.

I'm told we have to have M-I-L- & F-I-L this Christmas day. We had Christmas by ourselves last year and had them the year before.
Not looking forward to Christmas day. Well, maybe late evening when they leave.

I don't suppose we will get invited to theirs. I'm hoping we don't as there is nothing to do and they have the heat low. They are of the age who don't have a computer so cannot even take the laptop as they have no broadband. :(

I hope you have a good week! :)

  • Hi Bonnington

Unfortunately taking into petrol costs, tolls etc it will leave us out of pocket. I dont envy you with FIL & MIL I haven't seen mine in 3 years long may it continue lol

Still have plenty of papering to do, I have only put up a little bit. We are never going to be ready to move at this rate and i'd like to hand they keys to the agency knowing we have left it in the same if not better state than when we took it on.

Moneysaving wise DS had no school today so £10 saved although this went on the gas meter.

  • I wrote a nice long update yesterday then lost it and couldnt be bothered to re-write it!

We came in below budget on the shopping our new shopping month starts on tuesday as thats when DH gets paid and all we need is milk. I think I'm going to save for a second freezer so I can stock up on the reduced items. The shopping list will be huge as need things which we dont buy every month but has all run out together.

Money saving wise DHs cashcard is now here just waiting on a new pin number and his chq has finally cleared YEAY I have dipped into the baby milk cartons that I keep for days out we have 1 and a half left!! OH has been discussing money options more so hopefully he is going to pull his finger out and sort himself out. He has also offered to look for a second job, I don't think it has got to that yet and it would be better if I looked for an evening job or started buying and selling.

I dont know whats got into DD1 but she has been behaving which is really out of character.
