We are back from our weekend away, much needed break but I have returned with a cold!
Not had any NSDs (tut tut)
Just rounded down in bank again and have sent £1.74 to barclays. I am hoping when I see the statement in december I maybe able to lower the amount owed on my signature. I dont seem to notice the small amounts going.Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
I am also hoping to get our food shopping in for a max of £150 for the next month for 5 of us (excl baby milk and nappies). To do this we will be doing our shopping weekly rather than monthly and catching the whoopsies will update on how well this goes.Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100

Arrrrrrrggggggggggggggggghhhhh
I guessed Mr HBS had not fully had his light bulb moment... when will he learn?? I have just logged into the bill account and he has withdrawn £10 and put £52 petrol in for work  I wouldnt normally mind but I asked him only yesterday if he had enough and he said he did, now I'm £50 short for the loan payment, he has his own account for work expenses but it runs out then he helps himself from mine I never see it back he should only need a £500 float for petrol and hotels. He just dont seem to get we need to clear debt we should have plenty left after bills are paid and debts but he spends it and more :mad::mad::mad: It seems to be costing me a fortune keeping him in this job.
Hes going to wish he hadnt come home tonight :rotfl::rotfl:Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
Good luck on your food challenge! I was going to try it the opposite way round this month, getting as much as possible in the first week and stockpiling! We'll have to compare lol. I'm also feeding a family of 5 but I can't get mine below £250
what sort of things are you making?? and where do you shop?!
As for lbm, my dh has done the same. I was organised, gave him his 'float' for when he has to stay away in hotels and eat out etc. Well he has none, zilch, zero left!!!!!!!! £100 spent on goodness knows what and I've no money to replace it as emergency funds have been emptied out for other emergencies grrrr! feel your frustration xxx

I spent £35 plus will be £5 on milk as very few whoopsies!
Yesterday I wrote a list of meals for the week I normally shop at tesco and asda I get 4 for £12 meat (2 x mince 1 x chicken 1 x pork chops) then pasta, cheese, tinned tomatos, beans and juice. Asda has the best reductions at around 8pm we then get fresh veg, youghurt, fruit, bread, french sticks, potatos these are normally between 5p-20p we freeze what we can. Our Asda often have currys, mince, fresh fish, and other mains in the chiller between 50p-£2.
Milk comes from costco as cheap. Some things I dont buy which makes a huge difference is chocs, crisps, beer, wine. I am constantly on the grabbit board and check the vouchers before we leave if their is a glitch on we will use we go for it and stockpile but you need some money upfront for this! Check out grabbit gone but not forgotten, tesco 11+ within the 2months I have been following it I have had approx £250 worth of free goodies!Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
i.m.hart how have you been getting on with the grabbits you weren't having much luck the other day. We wanted 4 lots of smarties for stocking fillers and couldnt find them anywhere grrr
Last few days have been busy, we have been park both days and sorting out the kids room, we had a craft day yesterday and snuggled up to watch mouse hunt. DH has been busy with work and Mr Ts he got overcharged on computer items for DSs christmas stocking so got them for free also the same with shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste and a toaster.
I rounded down my natwest spending account and paid £4.17 to my natwest overdraft. I cant pay barclay card from this one as I dont have a card reader.Electric and Gas Predators 17/£700:j:j:j October make £10 a day challenge :j:j:j£155/£3100 -
