Am I right in saying that if I put £1,000 in there and then take it out the next day I will get the £5 given to me for the next month? Sounds far too easy, there must be a catch!

Take it out the same day, in the same minute, and you'll still get the fiver.0

Wow, thanks
So simple it is! I guess everybody is doing it0 -
FP from Lloyds TSB into Halifax.
Login to Halifax, money shows up straight away.
FP from Halifax to Lloyds
Log back into Lloyds - money is back
2nd of the month, log into Halifax, transfer my free £5 over to Lloyds TSB
Simple as.
I just leave a £1 in the reward account to keep it open, it pays no interest but love the free fiver!0 -

get a joint account on top and thats £10Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Yes I was transfering money backwards and forwards from my savings to current account in order to get my £5 when I was unemployed and didn't have a salary going on. Didn't have any problems with getting my £50

On the subject of FP, tomorrow is payday and I'm wondering if halifax now accepting FP into and out of the reward account? I know they were having problems earlier in the week following their system upgrades and payments were going via BACS instead for some reason.0

Yes, or pop along to your local branch and open up a joint account too. Your other half can get a fiver in their name too. So that's £15 between you :-)
At one point you could each have up to 3 reward accounts, but they soon stopped that for new customers. Cannot imagine why.0 -
