Under 19s account - Lloyds TSB 16-18

Left hand often does not know what the right hand is doing. Glad you got it sorted. As I say all debit cards are now contactless at Lloyds and so long as you are 16 or over you'll get one ;-)0

Hmm, after calling it seems that the request may not have been put through and it can take up to five days for it to take place. Apparently I was told once again they don't offer contactless cards on under 19 accounts so I assume it will be denied. Should I just "lose" my card and see what I get in the post or wait a little longer?0

I'd wait if they are sending one, you might just find that it's contactless anyway, like I say left and right hand come to mind.0

I called again earlier in the week and they said that they once again don't do contactless and the application will just be denied. I haven't received the card yet so I imagine that is what has happened. Should I just order a new card?0

Lloyds still swear until there black and blue in the face they do not issue contactless cards to under 18s.0 -

I would prefer to enter a pin to show that I authorised the transaction - all sorts of people messing with their cards will complain that they did not carry out contactless transactions IMO.0 -
I called up and said i'd lost my card but they gave me a new normal visa-no contactless card for me.0

Maybe OP was just lucky. I mainly want contactless as a lot of my transactions I carry out within the day are low value and without having to enter my PIN it means less chances of someone being able to see it and steal my card later. Of course I carry out the necessary precautions when entering my PIN but there is nothing you can do if the terminal is compromised.
If only there were separate PIN numbers for cash withdrawals and shop purchases.0 -

I think the OP is crank and to be fair I do not believe there child even got a contactless card. I have spoken to so many people about it and they have all said it is not possible to get one on that account type.0
