Sorry to quote you
, but it's up to 28 days AFTER claim being accepted (usually within 10-14 days though). Just had a claim accepted this week and:
The email stating acceptance would be suffice to know your claim has been accepted. I always send off my bill ASAP (within a day or two unless on hols). I've started using the online ststem for submitting bills and the above quote was recieved 4 days after submitting. Remember, it's just getting your 1st redemption date correct (as above poster states) which is important, easy after that.
Regarding the new T&C's - they are slightly different now to what they were in January when Bangton took out their contract and look a little confusing with the term month "zero", but this is not a bad thing to have confusing T&C's as:
The new T&C's are confusing for a reason - they don't want to pay the redemption cash (well at least made it possible to mess up the 1st one).
For my 1st claim in March 2012, I'll send it by post including a letter informing them that my first full month billing was September (from 2nd) and will also include an email copy stating that my account has been updated with my new ported number. Once paid on my ported number, then back to submitting online again for the next 4 claims.
If confused, it's not a bad thing asking them exactly which bill they require and saving any such response.................though a better option could be to use e2save or Onestopphoneshop (same CPW group), with better claim months (especially for cancelling as you get the last bill needed a month earlier than Mobiles.co.uk).
Too early...................coffee time. :coffee:

mobiles.co.uk do seem to make it more difficult compared to what I've experienced with dialaphone and e2save... but their deals are better then what you'd get from dialaphone, and the ability to send bills via email isn't something which e2save let you do so... I guess they all have their pros and cons!
Anyway, I just took out the contract a couple of days ago knowing it was slightly confusing but thought they'd send some documentation along with the handset to make things clear... but they didn't, so that's why I'm asking now. Hopefully get a proper answer from them...
Onto a separate issue... I now have two contracts with Vodafone and I got an e-mail stating that they would combine the bills into one? Would it still be possible to get the separate bills if I log onto my Vodafone web account? Or do they accept bills which have other lines info on them?0 -

Two lines on one bill are ok. I have been doing that for over a year.
Online submission of claims ...
Though you can get some confusing email messages when submitting bill online. i.e. Two mobile numbers, first one is what I claimed for but got reply about mobile number 2 stating wrong bill but the real claim for mobile 1 had been approved already.
And most recently getting one reply stating wrong bill but I resolved that quickly - had to wait 15 minutes to talk to someone but he resolved it quickly. Human error apparently, I did supply order number specifically but someone had not obviously not seen it. Got cheque within 14 days.0 -

Hmm... wonder if you can access the separate bills on your web account. Will wait and see... if not I don't see why Vodafone wouldn't be able to sort that out (just to avoid confusion).0 -

Well I am on t-mobile and they combine both lines onto one bill (online and on paper bills).
Vodafone I think do the same (can't remember now).
But it won't harm your cashback claim as long as the bill details all the required mobile numbers and rest of information.
When you claim - you should enter the order number into the online submission form. Make sure you remember which order number relates to which mobile number. Order number is infact not mandatory to claim online, they seem to work from the actual mobile numbers on the bill. But I like to put it in myself :-).
If you submit by post, then send a letter stating which order number you are claiming for. If both mobile numbers fall into same month for claim, then mention both on the letter. And if online, you would submit two claims with same bill but two different order numbers.0 -
Vodafone will split bills (though it complicates things in the interim) but T-Mobile will not. It will make no difference to cashback claims.0

I think the confusing bit would be about a "part month" - this being classed as "zero" and the 1st full month being the first months bill.
It could overlap months if buying at the end of say August (25th for example) and the billing was the 2nd of the month (say 2nd September) - 1 full month plus 8 days. It would seem to be that August is month "zero" and September is month one, if September bill was showing a higher than normal (like mine is [1 full month and 1 day]). In this example, you would purchase in Aug, 1st full month in Sept and claim in March.
This is the reason I purchased on Sept 1st with billing Sept 2nd (new contract has been added to the same T-Mobile account as other 2 contracts) - month 1 and "zero" are both in September.
Easier to sit over a glass of wine and chat, rather than try and put it in words - silly T&C's though - Ryanair-esque!!!!!
Anyway, 1st claim is the key and just need to work out how to end the contract later (I'll simply be porting after allowing my final full bill to be created - port a day or 2 later).

*Dizzy* that's just too confusing for me... I'll wait for them to reply to my e-mail (which always seems to take ages!). Thank you for trying to explain though!0 -

Its the order date that is important with mobiles co.
The order date is stated on the paperwork that comes with the phone. So its good to make a note of that date and/or keep that small piece of paper in safe place just in case you forget.
There is then no 'part month' to be concerned about. So even if the order date is the last day of the month then that month counts as 'zero' for cashback purposes through mobiles co.0 -
Again, wrong.
Lynsey; you may have a problem on the final bill e.g. you may not get one giev that your month "0" and month "1" will be the same. Methinks Mobiles will do as E2Save a couple of years ago and make the rules up (or try to) as they go along. Meanwhile, you have the t&c at the point of sale in writing so can force them to pay one way or another.0 -
I know what you mean by the final bill, but my final bill (March 2013 - able to print or send 3rd March) will take me from March 2nd to April 1st inclusive. I'll send off the March bill showing the full 18 months have been honoured, but I'll ask for the PAC code on say the 3rd of Feb and port on the 3rd March. T-Mobile will then need to give me back almost a full month fee (minus a day or 2 depending on when it exactly gets ported - never checked for weekends etc.). It will only cost a few pounds and will be worth it to have a proper final bill intact. Remember, my March bill will be for the 19th month of an 18 month contract and will show the 18th month (Feb 2nd to March 1st) has been paid with no arrears.
Hope that makes sense.
