    If you buy those large and fat Haribo/Love Heart etc tubes of sweets (£1 or so from Asda/Wilkos etc) they fit the entire bottom bit of the stockings we have - really takes up a surprising amount of space :)

  • I'd look at B&M's before you buy your stockings - they have various sizes that you can chose as to how much you want to fill (or what you want to put in)
  • I have 2 girls aged 3 and 6 and this year and they are each getting in their stockings:-

    1 necklace, 1 ring, glow stick bracelet, noisy putty (makes a rude noise when you push your finger in it), small playdoh set (was 20p from Tesco), wind up bug, a cinderella/Snow White Pez set, some chocolate coins, an orange and a £1 coin each.

    My 3 year old is also having an animal tile puzzle and my 6 year old is having a knitting nancy.

  • Some great ideas on here. My sister and I do each other's stockings since mum refused to do them once we got to 21 (over 10 years ago now!) I still love filling hers and of course opening mine! I pick up bits all year round for hers when I see them cheap (smellies, socks, jewellery, nail varinsh, fun bits, sweets and we always have some new pants in there!). For my 3 year old DD I have crafty bits, stickers, pens, pencils, wind up toy, cars, little books, pants, socks, sweets, choc pennies. I find the pound shop good for bits and I do get things in charity shops (in good condition!)

    I haven't had a stocking since I left home at 25, I am now 38 and have decided I am going to buy myself a stocking and put things I like in there. I have seen 2 stockings I like and deciding which one to get tho as its only used once a year lol. This one or this one and am going to get new pj's, chocolates and will probably put some of my smellies in there, if only to get them from their overflowing bags lol!

    Me feet.:rotfl::rotfl:

    Honestly though, we don't really do Christmas stockings, used to, but tis too expensive now. So we simply put the little things the siblings get for one another in stockings.
    I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

    Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
