    pair of gloves

and then a few "odds n sods" like:

    temporary tattoos
    bouncy balls

    fart putty

    hubby usually gets:

    mini deodrant
    mini aftershave
    mini shower gel
    socks
    sweets/chocolates
    pens

    and this year hes got:
a belt (was £7 reduced to £1 in matalan sale)
a book on celtic football eam
    a mini towel for hiking

and hubby usually puts in mine:

    mini deodrants
    lipstick
    new purse
    socks
    sweets/chocolate

My LO will be 2 at Christmas, so looking forward to it this year as she will "get it" a bit more. However, on thinking about stocking fillers, I decided against crayons/pens, as I plan to leave the stocking by her bedside and I imagine that the walls and the cot would be decorated by the time I got up if I put those things in!

I am thinking an apple/orange, chocolate lolly, small toy, hat, bubble bath, matching pairs cards...that's it for the moment.

I love doing the stockings too, and start in the boxing day sales, its my favourite bit watching
them open them. Even though they are 11 and 14 now, they still love hanging up stockings
and leaving mince pie and wine out, and we always have NORAD Santa up on the pc so we
can see where 'he' is, even though they are older they get into the spirit of it which is wonderful.

Christmas wasnt great for me as a child, so have always tried to make it really special for my kids, we put our decs up on 30th November!

always Polar Express and all the Christmas dvd's ready and the Christmas cd's in the car, I think Im making up for my childhood! :)

Hawkins Bazarre have some great bits in, some funky eraser sets in pateserie shapes, office shapes etc, magic plastic for blowing up to make different shapes, bouncy ball making kits and
some really fun stuff for good prices, popping in today!!! x
  • ps Sainsburys had 70% off Hello Kitty pads, sets, pens etc, and some boys dinosaur ones, good for kids stockings or friends/school gifts, tombola etc???? Tesco had Top Gear ring binders 54p, and fair bit of stationary 70% off earlier this week, lots of nice bits for stockings perhaps x
  • i found a disney cars small ball for 25p in tesco sale, its a toddler sized football so perfect for his stocking :) Great idea with the scratch card, im going to put a lottery ticket and a scratch card in my other halfs. I like to put some random items in, as presents make so much sense but with stockings i love the wacky stuff!
Mummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas :D:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:
  • just went to Hawkins, got some fun bits like loo roll with jokes on each sheet, couple of funny books reduced --one the Art of Cheating 2 quid and the Chris Addison book £3, got a Slinky, box of metal Jacks, fast food and flip flip
erasers, juggling balls and a couple of little bits that will be good fun.

For those with young kids they have Penguin Bowling £15, 6 very cute foam penguins in bag with foam ball, it looks great - kids playing in shop with on, the penguins are about 5 inches tall and it can be used in bathroom etc as
foam, so also fun outside. Also its quite a big size present, I will paste this into thread where someone asked for
    suggestions for little one.

  • they have such great stuff! some of the fun stuff I cant decide if it will go in DH, DS or DD's stocking, some
of it could be for any age, when I went in today I swear there was a flying hamster swooping above my head!
.... unless I just had too much coffee!!!!!!!!! :)
  • RachyD - thank you. I'm browsing Hawkins Bazaar website to see if I can spot anything she would like!
