I notice actually that there are two so-called Billing Address options which are not countries and which attract no Admin Fee for any Mastercard Prepaids:

    Other

    Undefined(Stateless/Refugee)

Yer pays yer money, yer takes yer choice ... so Ryanair are indeed in a bit of a pickle tonight, 2010 :rotfl:

    Serves them right.

shirlsky - the exact nature of Ryanair's dirty trick has become evident today. You can read it here on the other thread.

The fact is that as of yesterday mid afternoon I think (1st November 2011), no-one* sitting anywhere in this world can book a Ryanair trip starting in the UK (single or return) and avoid the Card Admin Fee of £6 per person each way unless they have in their possession the specific Ryanair Cash Passport Mastercard Prepaid which they have already loaded with a minimum of £150 or unless they wish to gamble as a customer of a third party travel booker to whom Ryanair has been known to deny boarding. (They made it plain a couple of years or so ago that they don't like third party bookers selling their flights and were reported to have actually cancelled some flights booked that way unilaterally.)

I want to see the OFT/CAA act immediately as this is clearly one company's openly declared war against UK consumers and UK guests trying to get home. It is very ugly and it started yesterday and it really should be stopped tomorrow.

    * With a minor exception mentioned at the bottom of my most recent post in the other thread.

The glitch is still there as stated in my post #483.
I`ve just tried again and it doesn`t add the £6 fee for Fairfx card but does for it`s own.
How long this will last is anyone`s guess.

Slightly off topic but another big rip off is the price of car parking, which is very often dearer than the cost of the flight.

really ? £3 per day + driven to the airport door + back. I have flown from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle,Prestwick, Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds and I think the most I ever paid was £3.50 per day and I could have had that for under £3 if Id booked early.

Great, maybe you could find me 6 days parking at Luton for 5/10th Dec for £3 a day.

    Post link when you do.

I am not a Ryan Air expert, but if I buy a cheap ticket, say £70, but due to events outside my control, I cannot use it; Is there any scope for getting some money back or flogging it to someone who can use it?

After all Ryan Air want a bottom on a seat so it can be sold something extra like an [STRIKE]over priced[/STRIKE] high margin sandwich or some car hire?

    No money back from Ryanair.

Ryanair flight prices go up and down like a yo-yo, buying a new ticket may be cheaper than buying your 2nd hand one and the additional fees.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • Do I could swap it to someone else?
What sort of fees are we talking about?
