Having not had the promised call back from 'Mr. Jason' I rang again and was answered by a recorded message saying that the Sales Team (OPTION 1) were too busy to talk to me and inviting me to leave my name & number pending a call back. I didn't. However unless I am seriously ,mistaken the voice is that of Mr. Cooper - in friendly mode.0

Yeah..I did buy from them...unfortunately it was only after I paid that I saw the Watchdog programme about him and I felt depressed for days because I knew that I had bought from a disreputable company that would let me down if the machine malfunctioned even though I paid for the extended warranty. The machine did start to go wrong quite quickly and I email led them to say I was returning it and wanted a refund ...it was still within 30 days. I returned it and they said, nothing wrong, no refund. Long story...just to say I got the bank involved (Lloyds) and they were great...many many phone calls and emails later I got a refund and felt a huge sense of relief. I want to buy a sewing/embroidery machine but am now nervous about going ahead. My advice based on recent perspective? Keep all documents and photograph EVERYTHING in case you need to send back for refund..all these documents were vital when I communicated with the Debit card disputes guys. Good luck!0

I must be lucky. I bought a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 3 or 4 years ago for a great price. It arrived on time. It's been a brilliant machine. I too got the email about the warranty, but I've not done anything about it. When I need it serviced/repaired, I'll get it done locally.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400

I bought from what was coopers last year and is now British sewing centre. I returned my machine on 1 sept for a service . It was working perfectly and I was just taking advantage of the free service and couriers. I called today as hadn't heard from them regarding the return and was told they had replaced the bobbin case as it was faulty and as its a consumable part it isn't covered under the 15 warranty. I queried this as it was sewing perfectly when it went in and am awaiting a call back from the service manager . I know it's only £30 they want but I am annoyed that they may be trying it on but after reading these comments I'm now a little afraid if I kick up a fuss my machine will come back in a different condition than it went .. Any tips for when they call back0
