Stop putting yourself down! Nobody is too good for you.

    Whereabouts do you live?

  • my boyf & i are in a long distance (130 miles) relationship and it is hard no doubt about it. we see each other most (not every) weekend. we spend half the time missing each other & the other half excited about seeing each other. we always make special efforts with each other so weekends are very special. when we met we were never meant to fall in love and it was just an odd weekend meet up for a bit of how's your father. now its at the pont where we cant imagine life without each other & we're getting engaged and he's moving up....

why dont you just arrange to see her next rather than think so long term....you'll soon know if it feels right and whether your both willing to put the effort in. as long as your always open with each other and tell each otehr when its getting difficult and how our feeling you'll be ok :)

    good luck xx

I'm seeing her this weekend but I'm getting the feeling that I can't bare to be without her/have her in my life. Shee makes me so happy.
  • Long distance relationships are harder than close distance relationships, but they can work out! Just take it slow and see where it leads.
During the time you don't see each other you will miss each other more, so when you do get time together it makes it so much more special.
In my experience a relationship that starts with time to yourself and having your own life means a stronger relationship long term rather than living in each others pockets right from the start. (Not saying its how every relationship works, just from my own personal experience).

I always find its better to keep your life the same, but with the addition of a partner added in that fits around it. By that I mean sometimes when you meet someone new people stop seeing their friends, they stop doing the activities they enjoy etc. And if the relationship ends they end up left with nothing.

But if you can keep up your normal life around your relationship then you both feel asthough you haven't given anything up and it gives you something to look forward to. In the future when you have been together a while and no for certain you both want to be together long term there will be nothing stopping you from living together or near each other so that you can spend much more time together.

The fact that you can speak over texts and skype and have conversation about almost anything is a great thing.

Good luck with your new relationship :)

    Cheers for this :)

No nothing here is changing I still do my activities and she still see's her mates. It would be silly if we didn't! But we do text each other and such. but I really do love her to bits. Before I got on the train home. She wanted us to swop pictures off our work swipe cards (We have two and only one is ever used/on show) for her to remind her of me at work.
  • Someone suggested that I should take her here http://www.restaurantsofmanchester.com/european/michaelcaines.htm anyone had any ideas if its any good?
  • I'm in Manchester my self matey

Wouldn't say thats good Idea- Expensive and sometimes mixed review wise from people who ahve gone from our office

Depends what sort of meal you'd like to go for etc
