OP I started a casual long distance relationship 4 years ago, and married him nearly 2 years ago and cant imagine life without him, and we are trying for a family.
Lots of people were worried about the distance and the speed (we met, moved in after three months - which involved me moving 250 miles to an area I had never been, and were engaged after 6 months then married a year later ish), but I took a chance. The long distance bit was tough but totally worth it. And now all of our family and friends say we were made for each other.
It was horrible him leaving on a sunday but it was great getting excited later in the week and planning our time together.
Good luck and enjoy this bit - the best memories of my life were the first few months of our relationship (dont get me wrong am annoyingly sickeningly happy now but early days are always tinged with magic)
and you have made me text DH to tell him i love him and remember our first date - so you have made another couple happy as well"I havent failed, Ive found 10,000 ways that dont work" Thomas Edison

Aww thats sweet!
Just funny. My boss wrote me an email regarding my expenses saying "I hope she is worth it :P am happy for you matey"
I just want to know why this guy is going round the office!
In regards to the moving, Not talking about that at all. Too soon for that.0 -

Ignore the plonker - he is just jealous.
Manchester has loads of good pubs. I was in The Shakespeare last week. That's a nice cosy pub. Get on with enjoying being with each other and forget what other people say.
Bite your lip if he says anything. He is showing himself up!0 -

Let him try. I'll come round and whack him with my handbag
Stand up for yourself and have it out with him, in front of everyone! I would.
He sounds pathetic. It's you she is interested in and you sound lovely.
What can he do? Nowt!0 -

She always saying I make her smile and she loves me.
But he is just going round the office saying I am having his rejects. I don't care what he say/the office thinks. just why he is saying it. I'm not going to ask her about it.
Why not ask her. Don't say anything bad that he said, that would upset her, but say you heard a rumour and see what she says.
Best out in the open
Like someone else said, she kissed a frog and now she wants you, not him0 -
Please just ignore him, he sounds pathetic.
Looking at it logically if he had rejected her he wouldn't be bothered if you are seeing her. I think it was very much the other way round and he is trying to put you off to soothe his own ego.
He's probably wondering what you have got that he hasn't. Going off what you've said - just off the top of my head - I'd say charm, thoughtfulness, humour and you don't go round talking about women in such a derogatory manner.0 -

He would get his cronies to back him up. His crownies are stupid and not liked so its not bad they would back him up, just annoying. Why not ask her. Don't say anything bad that he said, that would upset her, but say you heard a rumour and see what she says.

Like someone else said, she kissed a frog and now she wants you, not himI'm sorry" I was like Don't ever need to say sorry.
