Well the distance can work, more difficult than living round the corner from each other, it wil be tough and if it is putting you off already how will it be when you just can't be with each other or see each other on a whim and need to plan it?

I think you need to pace it, no point without a serious chat with her, whatdoes she want? Where does she see this going? How committed is she prepared to be?

Moving etc no not yet, wait until you have some idea of what will happen, don't risk everything at this time, wailt a bit and chat chat chat, you need to be honest and open and ask lots of questions, the more you can communicate now the easier it will be if you do have to spend time apart

Direct train can get me there in just 3 hours. As for messing me around, she is always texting and facebooking me.

Someone else on our works night out tried kissing her (I wasn't there) and she said she was seeing me. (My boss told me about it).

Dh and I only see each other fri-mon. In many ways its a healthier way in the earlier stages of a relationship rather than rushing in to a crowded exclusive existance. Now we find it a little hard by wednesday, but very exciting by friday. LDR have pluses as well as minuses.

Another point to consider....its great whilst work are paying your travelling expenses...and the expenses you incur whulst at work and setting up this office...but will regular travel between your home and her home take a toll on your finances at all...if theres a lot of distance between you that can be an added complication

Its not putting me off. Quite the opposite.

If I am not on a project I can always do a "check on the site" for a few days on a whim.

I earn enough for a hotel (if her folks don't allow me to crash there) and train fares. If she wanted to come up she loves the coach and would get that (I've seen fares for £8.50 on National Express) or I'd pay for train.
