The interview he had today turned out to be for an Agency so not great but he registered with them so could be an option for him when his Royal Mail wage finishes.
He has kept off the weed and is being proactive in searching work out so hopefully he will come up with something before the 5 week period.
Feeling more positive today - he will find a job and we will be fine and he will be drug free.
People can turn their lives around and I will be there to support him as he does.:)Smoke Free since 1 January 20130 -

The hearing that he had for last friday was postponed due to the manager being taken seriously ill. Nightmare.
But on the positive side at least he will now get an extra week's wages because he is still at this moment in time suspended on full pay until the hearing.
He has done some hours through an Agency and hopefully has an interview lined up for a job at our local airport. It is minimum wage to start with but at least it is something. Fingers crossed.
He has been clean since he got suspended, hasn't been particularly pleasant to live with due to withdrawal (or that's what he says anyway).
It has been hell for me over the last couple of weeks and as of yet no end in sight. Hopefully it will sort itself out soon because my energy levels are now pretty much empty.
Positive thinking needed me thinks.:)Smoke Free since 1 January 20130 -
The local drug service will be able to advise him with withdrawal symptoms. Some offer complimentary therapies free such as the black box treatment, accupuncture, masssage etc.
Exercize is good so is eating healthy foods and looking after yourself. People can feel quite under the weather for a few weeks after coming off cannabis and can feel quite anxious also.
If hes difficult to live with explain the impact its having on you and explain to him his options. You dont have to put up with him if hes been a pain.0 -
He is almost certainly in breach of his suspension conditions and this alone could result in serious consequences.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

O god,
I didnt realise he was doing anything wrong. He is working from 4 in the morning until 8 in the morning. He is only doing 12 hours this week. I just thought it would help for us to get a bit of a buffer going.
It just gets worse.
So what happens next week if he gets offered this other job to start next Monday but he hasnt yet been to the hearing at his previous job? He needs a job so does he resign? Wait to see if he gets to keep his job (unlikely)? Help!:(Smoke Free since 1 January 20130 -
Don't panic
No-one is going to know he has another job unless he tells them -so too much damage hasn't been done.
There is no rule with most employment that you HAVE to tell them if you have a second job anyway. If RM have that requirement then it'll be in his contract. Plenty of people who work for RM have second jobs so either the requirement isn't there or they will have notified RM. A quick call to the union rep who is working with your OH on the hearing will clarify things.
As for next week-worry about that -next weekI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Stop this right now. He is being paid from his main employment, and has to be availiable to them during working hours. Even in the evenings he may need permission to work a second job.2010 Super League Grand Final Winners :beer:0

working a 2nd job in RM is what many do
however the OP is talking about her OH who is suspended from work.
RM management take stuff personally and will use anything they can against anyone it suits
I dont have the guidelines on other jobs but IIRC RM require to be informed of any extra employment0
