I agree with Nearlyrich and posted the other day on a simular topic,
Its your house your rules,
The problem you have as many others have had and will continue to do so is the simple fact being a teenager they do infact think that all adults are clueless inept individuals who know nothing about the world.
My opinion, rein him in and basicaly say that it aint happening, when you can afford your own house you can then have female company over, He should be made aware that you are not going to allow this under any circumstances.
Oh but mum she is just a friend, hmm likely, you go to bed and he thinks good one just duped my mum and then gets up to all sorts.
Put your foot down and show him who is the boss !0 -
I'm liking the idea of taking the door off Ravenlady, thanks!
Peacyprice, he has 1 bed in his room, at the moment he doesn't even have space for the camp bed to go up as we are having some work done on the house
nearlyrich, I don't know what her parents think, they seem to be less strict than I am from what I have heard from the kids and other parents0 -

Perfect, she can sleep in his room with the door firmly shut, he sleeps on the camp bed in yours or on the landing:DAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
If it were me I'd let her stay over, but in a different room. That's what I'd do if my daughter (15) wanted a boy to sleep over.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0

Again, your house, your rules
My 14 yr old would try and convince me it all just good friends and probably get a right strop on too. But stick with it.This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

thanks everyone for your quick replies, she has gone home-probably couldn't be bothered with him in a grump, lol. I feel a bit mean, she is a nice girl, but this isn't the first time I have had this conversation with him, he wanted to stay at hers recently and was told no then as well.
Consistency (sp?) will pay off I hope, and it was discussed calmy and rationally-his strop with me will only last until he wants something!0 -
Dock his pocket money until he gets out of his strop.
I say bring back National Service !0 -

I say bring back National Service !
His pocket money goes into his bank by DD on the first of the month (trying to teach him the monthly budgeting thing:money:)
and I totally agree about National Service-it would do him the world of good!0
