DS birthday party invites all done, so just food/party bags to plan now. I've also organised his bday prezzie, kung fu lessons, he will be starting the Monday after his birthday and his nan is paying for his outfit. Only £4 for a 1 hr lesson and you just pay on the door, so if you don't go you don't pay, which is great :-)

This weekend might be looking a bit different than planned, ds is now going to his nans fri night/sat so no swimming and I might use the opportunity to go on a date night with dh on friday and on sunday we are going out for lunch with my mother, which she is treating us to :-)


So child free Saturday to crack on with jobs :-)

Well 2 out of my 4 ebay items are going to sell so that's great :-)


Ds is at his nans tonight but unfortunately dh is working so looks like its a catch up on the box sets before he sets off at 10ish, then sat as we are child free we are going to get some house jobs done. Then sunday its off out for sunday lunch.


Dh is playing a waiting game at the minute waiting to hear on the bonus for job 1 along with his pay rise for his new role. Then for job 2 he is waiting on confirmation for a pay rise although they have said he may be waiting a while. I think its because they don't have the budget because of the living wage rise due, so i'm not holding my breath.


Tried a new recipe last night it was a cuban dish a bit like chilli but no kidney beans and we had it with cauliflower rice which was amazing, I think its going to be a regular in our house from now on and i've got leftovers for tea tonight.

All of my items sold, I won't have made a fortune but something is better than nothing. We had a lovely weekend, ended up going to the in laws for our tea as well as lunch out so last night we were all stuffed!!

Well I might have done something naughty and ordered some tickets which were definitely not in the budget!! They are going to be for ds for xmas, its next jan but the tickets were going so quickly and he has never been to see anything like it, live show, big arena so they fell into my basket!!


So I'm now feeling the pinch until payday but it will be worth it.

The list is getting a bit long!! I was hoping we would have all day Saturday to do jobs but dh ended up going into work all day, hopefully he will get some done this weekend but I've promised my friend I would go and help her move house (its a 2 1/2hr drive)

Pay day is Monday and it is £60 more than in the budget which is great. It's going to be a low/no spend weekend as I'm going helping my friend move house, which will be nice as I haven't seen her since last summer. The house jobs are piling up so I might put off decorating the bedroom until after ds birthday, just to give us chance to finish some of the other jobs.

House move done, feeling the burn today my arms feel like they have done a weight workout (ouch!!)


Pay day today so I've moved everything around and set up my manual payments, I'm going to pop and do a small food shop tonight so I need to write a bit of a list.

Hmm so our df date might have to go back a couple of months, dh just told me that the extra shifts he has been picking up lately (Job nr 2) are going to stop as they have found full time night cover now, so that means the overpayments are going to have to be adjusted for the new lower wage and I think it might add on 2 months. Upsetting but it can't be helped, feel so close as well!! He is going to ask around and see if he can pick up some extra shifts somewhere else though so fingers crossed.


3 ebay items posted, the other one hasn't been paid for yet, have chased it up but heard nothing grrrr.


I did the big shop last night, dh was very impressed at my first attempt at fish pie (I don't eat fish) one critique was there were too many peas, I think I can live with that!! So the fridge/freezer is stocked for the week and I have a vague meal plan, days are interchangeable. Dh is on leftovers for tea, not too sure what i'm going to have but I have enough options :-)
