I got paid a day early, so I changed the payment I'd set up and I can say that today I paid off a credit card!! Only 2 more to go for me and 2 more for dh.

DH also got paid so I've updated the budget and re set mine for the start of a new month.

So only 4 more pay days until we are df and when I say df we will still have car finance but that is something, due to our contracts, that we can only get out of if we take a company car. We did our sums on the company cars and as we had very little say in what cars we are given we could end up with something that costs more in tax and is more expensive to run. As long as we are sensible our car allowance more than covers the finance payments plus maintenance so we are better off, this is why I don't consider these a debt, as we would be worse off without it.

Onwards and upwards!! I've also updated my signature.

In money news the banks are all behaving, which is good considering what else is going on at the minute.

Not a good week at all, the family member who was in hospital passed away at then end of last week so it's been an upsetting time.

The pony has moved and it all went well, he settled in quickly and seems very happy and content so that is one less thing to worry about. The timing of it wasn't great but I'm glad it's done now. Our holiday at the end of the month can't come quick enough!!

Well its been a busy couple of weeks I feel like i'm just getting back to normal now. I spent the weekend in Scotland with my friend and my pony, he has settled in beautifully and we went for an amazing 2 hour hack around the moors. I'm so glad I chose to move him, it might have upset some people but it was definitely the right decision for him and I feel like a weight has been lifted.

Holiday wise I think me and ds are sorted I bought us sun hats at the weekend, a lovely pair of shorts for ds and a bikini and sundress for me. So it's just essentials and dh clothes, he has nothing!!

We also had a long chat about xmas and have decided after all the running around we did last year and being a family member down this year we want a xmas just for us, very selfish I know!! So.......I have booked us 2 weeks all inclusive in the Dominican republic, we will be deft free and have savings by then so it won't make it anywhere near a credit card.

In the house move news, I went looking at another house within our immediate move budget, which is the mortgage we can get at the minute with the remaining debts, and it was much too small. So we have resigned ourselves to 12 months saving and try to get the deposit bumped up so we can take advantage of a larger mortgage, this will also cut out an interim move. Meanwhile it gives us 12 months to slowly finish the house rather than trying to rush it.
