Banks are behaving or should that be we are behaving? we might have a little bit extra in the budget this month due to me budgeting the same amount for food and budgeting for holiday spends so essentially I've doubled up, at the moment I'm keeping it ring fenced as a buffer in case we go over budget on holiday

Well the house is clean, I had a mad tidy/hoover/mop last night, and the cupboards are full which means tonight all I have to think about is tea so I'm going to do my exercise dvd, count the money jars and sort out the prezzie for the party ds is going to on saturday. Feeling pretty organised apart from the fact that dh has no clothes to take away with him!!


I also got a nice surprise at work, a colleague gave me a 4x4 driving experience dayhe got it free as he has just bought a new 4x4 ([EMAIL="l@androver"]l@androver[/EMAIL]) and doesn't want it, dh will love it!!

The house is a tip again so dh is taking ds to kung fu tonight while I crack on and have a tidy/clean and do tea then I can concentrate on packing for the rest of the week.


We managed to get a lot of stuff for dh yesterday, he still needs some shorts/flip flops but he has a week to sort that so i'm not worrying as much now.


Must sort out the holiday money so I'm off to check where the best deals is.

Well from getting in last night around 5.30 until I sat down with a bowl of curry and a glass of wine at 9.30 I didn't stop!! The house has been cleaned, tidied and hovered but not mopped, I even cleaned all the filters on the hoover!!


I also started a packing pile in ds bedroom with all his clothes, the clothes dh has so far and essentials like suncream, shower gel etc then I sorted out a first aid kit, I just need to pick up a prescription from the doctors and buy some steri strips to finish it off.


Tonight I want to mop and change the bedding and maybe count the money jars, then tomorrow i'll start sorting out my clothes. I feel organised :-)

5 sleeps to our holiday!!!


I manages to pick up a pair of sandals and a pair of pumps for ds in [EMAIL="m@talan"]m@talan[/EMAIL] they had 20% off so 2 pairs for a tenner!! dh still only has I pair of shorts ( I give up!!) all my clothes are sorted and so are ds's plus essentials. I have also picked up the holiday money.


dh managed to get some money bags so tonight I am counting the money jars.

Money pots counted and the grand total was £58, not bad at all. I've started packing and cleared my to do list at work so i'm on an early finish. Lovely weekend to look forward to...hair cut/colour, dinner with the school mums, Scotland to drop the dog off/see friend/see pony and then finish packing ready for our hols on Tuesday.


In money news dh was paid today so money has been moved about and the banks should now look after themselves until we get back.

I'm back!! We had a fantastic time now back to reality.


It's pay day today so I've moved around the money and set up my payments, I have paid off another debt today so it's just 1 left for me and 2 for dh. I'm going to go and update the signature

Busy weekend planned, I'm off up to Scotland to ride the pony, collect the dog and have a night out with my friend. Hoping my spending money stretches this month as I've had to buy some new makeup, moisturiser and then with a night out and fathers day as well.....it would be a nice time for my cashback to move to payable!!


The banks are all behaving and all the manual payments have been done dh payday is a week on Friday, will have to see how he gets on as it might be a bit less than normal with us being away for 11 nights, I'm sure I can make things balance though.

Hmmm interesting times.....an old colleague has got in touch with me over a job opportunity. I like working for the family business I have no commute, its flexible but I find it soul destroyingly boring and I worry that the industry is moving forwards and i'll get left behind meaning i'll find it much more difficult to get another job, should I need to further down the line. He has promised flexibility in regards to hours, which I believe as I worked with him before and he had no problem with me being late/leaving early/working from home every now and again, the package is great.... better pension/healthcare allowance/death in service/childcare vouchers/bonus and the basic pay works out at a 32.5% pay rise. I don't even know why i'm debating it, it's a great opportunity with what sounds like a great company and with a person who I trust. Lots to think about.

No decisions yet regarding the job I'm taking a week to think about it.


In other news I've booked flights for my girly trip to Budapest in August, got cashback as well :-) and ordered a few essentials and a new bag/backpack thing.


I need to pop to @ldi tonight for a few bits and bobs nbut aprt form that everything is as it should be, hubby gets paid tomorrow and then a quiet weekend just swimming and a party for ds. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and we can do a bit in the garden as the grass is getting ridiculous!!
